It was a big journey. I started playing this in the middle of the summer 2021 and finished it in 8-th January 2022. I dropped EMP, i played it, like nothing happened, it was like a circle. And finally... Its over...
Endurance Medley Party (or just EMP) is very long and hard avoidance. 11 minutes and 55 seconds, 16 parts by 12 amazing creators. But lets start from the beginning...
In ~2017 there was a tournament (and there was emp), where people had 2 categories: less hitcounts on godmode version and biggest progress within 50 attempts. For this time, it was like a giant wall for me and i could even imagine beating it.
I tried to make progress in 2019 and 2020, but they were meaningless, because i didnt have enough skill for this time.
In summer 2021 i tried again, and for the first time i made my first good run - 4 hits on godmode. At this point I started playing EMP for serious. And now, i finished it...
Now i will talk about every part of this game:
1. "Childish war"
Game starts with pretty simple part. Visually, it's a copy of "avoid the OS", but gameplay was changed a lot. Its pretty good, may give weird walls at the end, but still enjoyable. 7/10
2. "Gigantic O.N.T"
Second part of the game, and it starts...pretty weirdly. No matter where you are at the start, you will always get teleported into the left corner. Overall, sometimes attacks can be unfair, so this was not so fun for me. 6/10
3."Middle Schooler Disease Outburst Boy"
This is one of the best part in the entire avoidance. It has cool transitions, its fun. I liked it 8/10
4. "Simmering ZEN Girl"
This parts made me feel 2 thing: 'holy shit it looks cool' and 'holy shit its so bad'. I will be honest... this part is the most unfair thing in the game. But as long as you know how to dodge second and third attacks, this part may get pretty fun and (most important!) consistent. 7/10
5."Yankee Boy Yankee Girl"
This is free part. Seriously, 3-5 attempts in godmode and this will get free. The only thing i can call it is "Take a break" part. It exists, and its fine.
6. "Donut Hole"
Now we are back to business. Attacks may look easy, but dont get too excited, it may give a wall as well. Anyway, it's not that bad. 8/10
7. "Night Talk Deceive"
This part is as good as the third one. Starts with the pattern, then there is a good gimmick with shooting cherries. The only thing that may confuse is burst attack. Overall, its good 9/10
8. "World Domination How-To"
This part could be one of the best in the game. It has amazing attacks and transitions, but... its kind of unfair, and that disappointed me. 8/10
9. "Lost One’s Weeping"
First half is the same as in avoidance "Lost one". Second half is pretty interesting, but... infinity-jump burst was too brutal for me. 7.5/10
10. "Tinplate’s Dance"
The same situation as in "Zen girl"s part. Its pretty unfair, especially in second half. But it still looks cool 7/10
11. "Justitia of Life"
This part is the best. I like everything in it, starting from visual effects and ending with balance. Nothing stays close to it. 10/10
12. "Outer Science"
This could be one of the best parts, but last two attacks ruined everything. 9/10
13. "Invisible"
This part is very weird. Author combined specific song with light colors. Besides, it has pretty brutal start and some hard line patterns. 7/10
14. "Life-Cheating Game"
Its hard. Its very hard. Its the hardest part in the game. Every time got to it i praised a lot for good rng. And it looks good, so i had fun on it 8.5/10
15. "Six Trillion Year and Overnight Story"
sunspike. I dont even know what to say about it.
16. "The Defeated Boy".
Final part of the game. Its well-made, its hard and interesting, but dying on it may give some very bad feelings (like it did with me). 9.5/10
As for result we got ~8/10. But i will give it 9.9/10, because its the best avoidance i've ever played. Then, why not 10/10? Thats easy - i was typing all this stuff on my phone and couldnt touch for 10/10 :tf:
Can i recommend this game? Yes. It was a very good experience, and if you enjoy long avoidances - try it.
