The platforming really isn't anything special and has a bunch of triggers that are probably too precise for their own good. I hated it when I first played through it, but I actually had fun with it when I played it again half a year later. That doesn't make it good though; most people I know couldn't stand it.
The avoidance, on the other hand, is incredible. It's very pattern heavy with two attacks that are kind of annoying to learn, but overall, it's very well-designed with very high production value. Even if you hate the platforming, the avoidance alone is more than enough to make up for maybe 10-20 minutes of mediocre traps.
