A very long and quite old adventure game with a lot of sudoku-tier design, bad but somehow amazing music, optional secrets (with a ton of extra content), bosses that range from bad to worse, and a single screen where you have 100 fps for no reason.

Overall, I can't exactly decide whether or not I enjoyed Neet. It has a lot of stuff that's the funny kind of bad but also a lot of stuff that's just the bad kind of bad. I wouldn't personally recommend going for all secrets and extra content, but know that it equates to about half the game. There are two bosses in particular that kind of ruined the game for me because they're mash-heavy and only hard when they have low HP. I had to use autofire which I basically never do because they were actually that bad.

My two favorite screens in the game were a yellow screen in the stage rush with an insane amount of triggers and a version of the difficulty select screen but with save points. Trigger-heavy rooms can be quite fun if done well, and this screen (with triggers marked) did a good job of baiting the player. The difficulty select room being playable in extra is just a cute idea that I would love to see done in other games (https://i.imgur.com/PJen2v5.png).

There was one screen in particular that made me think Neet was actually impossible before I checked the code to see how it worked (https://i.imgur.com/PrvTzJQ.png). It is a puzzle that references "Link's Awakening," and unless you've played it and know how it is done, you're gonna have a hard time solving this without getting lucky. You need to shoot the bunny, then the bat, then the skeleton in that order.

The final boss in the extra area is a Mario avoidance that is honestly kinda fun minus one attack. Didn't take me too long, but there are definitely some difficult parts.

I guess I would recommend this if you want to play a solid sudoku fangame (though I 100% recommend using autofire on the DBZ bosses).
