Well, although ooparts 1 and 2 was a disaster, but they were my first projects.

And what do you do when a fangame is a disaster? make a sequel that is good enough to be not a disaster.
that's what I did.

Rating based on Standard Mode with no secrets.

This so far has been my favorite game from Haegoe, and was quite a solid Needleventure game in my eyes. Spread-out across 10 stages in 2 hubs, there's a lot going on that is both simple and fun to play. It does contain the signature style of Haegoe which involves a lot of corridors and needles, but at least on Standard mode, it is a fun romp to go through with nothing ever being too hard. The bosses are pretty fun as well, and range from simple styles that remind me of Floor game bosses, to avoidances, to even a Schmup-style final boss. I will warn you though that the last one can be pretty hard, especially if you have no experience with Schmups, so it could potentially be a hurdle for you. The game also has secrets, but I didn't remember to check for them, so I ended up getting none. (Some of them are allegedly powerups, but I don't see how they would even help with the hard parts anyways).

I would recommend this game, it has a unique feel to it while remaining a level of simplicity that more classic fangame players would enjoy especially.

Rating based on Standard (since the other 2 difficulties are just jokes that both lead you to the same screen telling you to play on Normal mode), with all secrets, but no extra.
The third installment of the OOPARTS trilogy, and easily the high point, by miles. As I said, the other 2 games in the series were HAEGOE's first attempt at making a fangame, so of course flaws were to be expected. However, he also learned to improve from these flaws, in order to make his games better in the future; and thus, we have this.
The game is less similar to its prequels then they were to each other, but the resemblance is still there (even entire rooms are still copied at points). The game itself is divided up into 2 hubs, one unlocked after the other, followed by 2 other stages, rather than being strictly linear. The levels are all themed around a gimmick, for example dropping platforms, invincibility boxes you need to use to progress, infinite jump barrage platforming, and so on. The level designs are mostly fun, despite the amount of generic jumps appearing in the stages (even getting to 9-jumps and inverts near the end of the game). The bosses are the real highlights of the game, though; they are basically improved versions of the bosses in the original OOPARTS games, and are a lot of fun to play through, even if the plane is slightly hard to control at first. The game has a lot of production and charm to it, and you can clearly tell who it was that made it. There's also secrets hidden throughout the game, which can either add an upgrade to the Very Small Gun, or grant you access to the extra stage (though as shign already warned of, you probably won't want to do the extra).
While this game was very far from perfection, I absolutely cannot give it any lower of a rating than this, since this is so much of an improvement over the other games in the series that I have to give it credit for that. If you're gonna play any OOPARTS game, please do yourself (and your hands) a favor and make it this one, you won't regret it one bit.

Where the secret items in each stage are for those who are not fans of searching for secrets like me (not complete cause I'm still struggling to find them):

Generally, search big chunks of blocks for secrets.

Stage1:1-3 - autofire
Stage1:2-3 - bigger bullets
Stage3:3-1 - A/D
Stage4:4-2 - unlimited bullets
Stage5:5-4 - blue scroll
Stage6:6-2 - white scroll
to be continued...

Firstly I will note that I did the game on standard difficulty. Its an adventure game with about 8 stages that are linked together through a hub. Each stage has a somewhat different gimmick in the needle which leads up to the boss. The bosses are fine overall, however most are extremely easy and are first tryable with a modicum of skill. One boss that stands out as pretty well designed is the avoidance boss near the end. The area where this game really suffers, however, is the needle. Most of the needle design is very uninspired and mostly just amounts to spam of named jumps. I'm sure this game was fine when it came out, however I really don't feel that it holds up today.

Ooparts 3 is a great adventure game.
There are three difficulties you can choose from: easy, medium and hard. I chose medium and this review is based on that.
The stages are Hub based and all of them are fun. Stage 7 and 8 are a bit questionable needle wise, gotta do an invert and a lot of corners. Most of the platforming is fun though, even stage 7 and 8 i did kind of enjoy. There are some standard gimmicks mixed in. Triggers is the most common one and comes back in a lot of stages.
The bosses lifted this from good to great for me. Almost all of the bosses are fairly standard yet fun. They slowly become more difficult. There are a couple of avoidances. None of them are learny, which is great. They are probably kinda tough for newer players though. The final boss is my favorite boss in the game. Its a touhou/gradius styled boss with quite a bit of hp.
The tilests are all fine, quite simple but it works. The music in this game is honestly great. Boss 5 has one of my favorite songs. Stage 8 and after have great songs too. stage 7's music I didn't really like though.
I definitely recommend this game to beginners and experienced players alike, because of the difficulty modes.
