If you have somehow not played this game, what the fuck are you doing? PLAY IT. IT IS SO GOOD. Even in it's unfinished state, Kill The Guy is an effectively full length adventure game with many puzzle elements and gimmicks that all work to the game's advantage and truly give the player a sense of progression that other games WISH to replicate. Everything about this game is amazing and flows incredibly well. Doing any save in this game felt like I was overcoming a completely fair challenge. Nothing in this game feels too hard or too easy, and while the engine is different and the kid plays differently from all normal fangames, it works to the game's advantage and makes the experience even better. 10/10 in every category. One of the few fangames I would pay money for.

An absolutely quintessential fan game and a game I would recommend as the immediate first fan game to play following the original IWBTG. It's a shame it was never finished but even just being unfinished its quite long and at times pretty challenging.

Highlights include the Ukigumo opening, the great music choices, the unique gimmicks in platforming, enemies and puzzles alike - and who could forget what probably brought a lot of us here DJ SRAY, the kickass optional boss combining Space Channel 5 with Cave Story in a rhythm boss so iconic it would end up getting a revival with the Friday Night Funkin' mod "Funk the Guy" . Beyond that famous fight, there's equally as fun and frustrating fights against the likes of Pac-Man, Exor a Piranha Plant and of course Boshy . Though unfortunately, the final boss Geezer while pretty cool, does lead to a bit of a deflating ending due to the game remaining unfinished.

Despite all of that, this is forever going to remain part of the fan game Hall of Fame. It's more than earned it's rating over the years, and if you haven't already played it - do so!

This game is truly a gem and it is the best game of it's time by a wide, wide margin. This has been a shaper of all fangames with some of the most iconic bossfights of all time and a really unique feel to it.

The elephant in the room is that this game is unfinished. This is really heartbreaking, as the first 4 chapters, for what was finished of them, was some of the most promising and fun gameplay I've had the joy to go through.

I wish so hard this story could reach it's conclusion and knowing the amazing things geezer could accomplish with this project, but I feel it's important to say something far more important than my wishes with this fangame: Geezer's obviously not been motivated to finish this. While I have literally no say in this community nor am I able to, please don't harass him for neither this game, nor Not Another Needle Game 2. He is a human being and if you were pressured to finish these games when you didn't want to, regardless of if you could or not, you would suffer.

So please let's enjoy what's here without making a big deal out of what could've been.

i wanna kill the guy, one of the first fangames to complete, great design and soundtrack to change a bit with the mechanics used in the other fangames will always be my favorites even if its fifth chapter does not have an end

Unfinished is, unfortunately, unfinished, and this harms the game a HUGE deal: an amazing, interesting, original story not concluded, the lack of a Boss 2, only two thirds of a VVVVVV experience available, an impossibly buffed time-trial challenge impossible to do... Not giving closure to something unusually great is a slap to the face. There is the lack of many bosses and a whole chapter, but what remains is a very respectable follow-up, not to the fangame community exploding and experimenting with new ideas full of Miku references, but to Kayin's adventure game that paid tribute to many classic console games. The introduction is magnificent and it properly sets the tone for what was meant to be one of the finest experiences out there. The soundtrack is a blast, the gameplay is consistently addictive, the worlds are quite unique and there is even some fun puzzle solving. The optional challenges add the feeling of playing an authentic game you would be willing to pay for, the cameos are great and the soundtrack is explosive, being my favorite song "Midnight" from cornandbeans.

And yes, DJ SRAY is a great and awesomely fun optional challenge that I find myself often replaying again and again.

Funny as it trolls with your existence and continuing with the meme tradition of laughing at you in a friendly way, this is an experience that, no matter how many times Thenewgeezer swears won't complete, we will always wait for that resolution because it deserves it. I will make sure to update my rating out of 10 that day.

That's a promise. Just like he "swore" a next version would add what is missing, which is a lot.
