One of the better medleys I've played. Game has nice length to it and it strictly platforming, no bosses. It borrows a lot from the Kamilia games in terms of some of the screen choices and production effects, but its overall a good game. The guest stages are all very interesting and unique. The title card sound is a little rough and the Sunspike screen in stage 2 is probably one of the harder rooms making me feel like its out of place. if you can get past that, it's pretty enjoyable as a medley.

Rating based on Hard Mode.
Decently long medley game. 5 stages of medley followed by one stage of original content. The medley ranges from a few interesting screen choices to bland/legitimately bad screen choices (7 trials, FASF), but even the interesting screens have something that ruins them (The flying spikes in Kamilia 2's screen, the drop in Rukito Area's screen, the invisible kid section in Locus, the downwards diagonals in Light Trap, etc., etc.). Many screens are just generic needle (7 trials, Dife, Daggertan, TAS), which gets really repetitive after seeing more and more 9-jumps, diamonds, corners and diagonals. There are some nice screen choices like Venus and Uhuhu 2, but they are few.
The changes are little to none, depending on the screen, so basically what happens with the medley section is that the screen picks were mostly bland and the maker didn't try to make them better. So, as a medley, I really didn't like this game.
However, the original areas in Stage 6 kinda of redeemed the game for me. I liked all of them, although I liked some more than others.
- Lianliankan's area is alright. I feel like it would be a lot better if the maker focused more on the puzzle side instead of the needle side, since, while some puzzles are actually clever, near the end of the stage they devolve into more generic needle.
- P&A's area is fun. It's a simple gimmick combined with needle. There isn't much of a puzzle element to it, so it's fine to focus the difficulty on the needle, which is what the maker does. Surprisingly well-designed for the most part.
- Eversion's area is my favorite. While I know that many people hate it, I find it legitimately fun. It's slow-paced, calming, there's a lot of puzzle to it (Easily my favorite puzzle section) and not a lot of stuff that can kill you, so you can focus more on figuring out how to collect all the gems. You can spam 'X' to find where you can perform an Eversion, so it's not much of a guessing game either. Sure, if you die, you lose a lot of time, but I personally think that this is balanced by the fact that you need few deaths (At most) to figure out how does the stage work.
- JetKid's area is nice. The gimmick is well implemented, and it works well with the needle.

I'm not sure if the original areas are worth playing for, since they take so long to reach. Probably wouldn't recommend.

I'll put the difficulty 74 since I've cleared this game in hard mode. Papaya stages were definitely the reason why this game is amazing honestly. If I were to rate the difficulty in "Easy Mode" I'd guess around 40~50.

Disclaimer: I think the 'standard' medley format and concept is garbage.

This game does nothing to change it. In fact, it actually managed to make it worse. There's two sections to this game, as it seems every medley - the medley section gating off the original content.

Lets start with the medley section. This is basically irredeemable garbage. Perhaps more acceptable when it came out, but had basically no redeeming features at this point. It was about 75% pure needle, 50% of which was pure 32px needle, much of it with no consideration to save balance, save positioning, difficulty curve or anything else. The remaining 25% includes gank traps (no creativity instagibs) and maybe one or two good screens.
The music felt really repetitive as stages feel a bit longer, but perhaps that doesn't matter because the title card and death sound are so irritating that the assumption is you would've muted the game anyway.

The second part is the original content which is what I'd heard had some interesting gimmicks/mechanics. The game takes a huge swing up here as your reward for suffering through the garbage. The production in most of the stage is quite nice and, indeed, there's interesting and mostly creative mechanics in every screen. Unfortunately its still plagued by poor save balance, poor save positioning and that almost nothing deviates off the 32px grid so expect to keep doing the same jumps you just did multiple stages of.

Game is probably worth playing if you can get a save at the last stage, which is probably a 7-8/10. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.

If you want to play a great medley game but don't feel like grinding out bosses, this game is for you! A lot of great screen picks, pretty good music, solid production value and some awesome original content at the end all contribute to a well rounded needle game.

Rating is based on clearing Hard mode.
