Really well-made puzzle fangame where you have to switch between different Kids with different kinds of abilities. It's a bit too long, but all the puzzles are really well-made, so it's worth the time it takes. There are two bosses, the first one being a kind of training for the last one. They use an interesting concept, although the top right side can be quite unfair sometimes.
It's a fun game with a really interesting concept. Would recommend.

Fangame Clear #43

Puzzle fangame with a ton of really cool ideas just executed in a very tedious and annoying way. Most of the puzzles are either very easily solved, with one screen in particular being incredibly out of the box to an annoying extent, so a lot of your playtime is running around and collecting different kids to eventually make it through a very long screen. This gets incredibly tedious very quickly, and the game continues to throw more and more gimmicks at you until it's a screen filled with kids and you're tasked to run between them to do a single thing with them, which *could* be fun if you're into that sort of thing but otherwise its abnormally tedious.

One particular gripe that really made this playthrough miserable was the dash kid, specifically the "tutorial" which was harder than the rest of the game combined. This room is so terribly made and genuinely infuriating to play that it just really ruined anything this game had going for it.

The sole reason why I didn't rate it in the 2.0-2.9 range was because of the 2 bossfights, the former being a sort of "tutorial" for the latter. The first is very fun and quite easy to get through, kind of like a WarioWare sort of thing but not quite. The final boss, however, is so vastly different than anything else ever seen in fangames that I was shocked to see it. So many things could've went wrong when making this fight and astonishingly, none of them did. It's a perfect end to a puzzle-like game, and absolutely mindmelting (in a good way.)

Overall, if you're into puzzles and gimmicks, this could work for you. Otherwise, I would recommend something else. If you have to play this for FSR, at least you have the final boss to look forward to, because despite every other part of this game being tedious, it really did leave an impression.

Pretty cute fangame with an emphasis on puzzle solving, although the puzzles are quite basic. It's pretty fun to chill with and the platforming isn't super hard, although some saves are a bit elaborate. The final boss is a really cool concept, I like it a lot.

Crimson Kid is a unique game that features triggers that change the player's abilities, and can range from things such as the ability to stand on platforms, shoot bombs, or triple jump. As many other reviewers may mention, the pathing throughout the game tries to focus on giving a puzzle feel, however I do think it falls short in many ways. For the most part, you'll spend a majority of your time trying to find the one singular option you can do at the moment because you will almost always need to get the different gimmicks in a certain order.

There are also a lot of issues with the game. For example, the tutorial for the flying kid is by far the worst screen in the game and actually took me longer than the screens afterward that actually use the gimmick normally. Other issues include the Spike Kid feeling extremely jank as well as Softlocks you can encounter throughout the game. Also, while I appreciate at the start you can change your tileset, I would have liked to have been able to change it again later in the game alongside the music, it feels weird that nothing aesthetically changes after Boss One. Finally, and this complaint may be coming from a skill issue, but the final boss is way harder than anything else in the game, and personally I found it unenjoyable.

As a Needleventure game, I would say it's pretty decent, but there are so many rough edges in it. As a Puzzle game, I would say it didn't really succeed that much in my eyes.
