Rating includes getting the gift.
Fun fangame where you have to collect money to buy stuff for Mauricio's birthday. You have to buy a cake, and you can also buy a gift if you want to. Getting the gift will change a couple things in the ending, but you can clear the game without it. You get money by collecting money bags, which are placed at the end of two stages that you can access in any order. It's a nice and simple concept.
Both stages are pure needle. They are both enjoyable, and while both require backtracking, most jumps on the way back are fairly different from the ones on the normal way, so it's not repetitive at all. The forest's background REALLY didn't fit well with its tilesets, though. The factory's visuals were better, at least they were more simple. Cool musics for both stages, too.
The ending really could use some work, though. The dialogue felt quite bland for the most part (Almost no exclamation marks, poor choice of words, it feels like nobody wanted to be at that party at all. Everybody is bored and wants to go home as soon as possible. It's quite sad).
It was fun, but lacked some birthday atmosphere, mainly near the end. Would still recommend.
