Increasingly worse getting needle game, with a weird portal area inbetween

It starts off pretty easy and simple with meh production quality. Then out of nowhere there is some really silly portal puzzle thing. Figured it out after a few minutes, then the difficulty jumps 400%. At this point I just decided the quality of the game wasn't worth spending the time grinding given the quality of the content beforehand.

Game itself looks really bad. The second stage is just a ton of portals that move you back to the previous part, and since there's only one save, it's extremely irritating and not fun whatsoever. Aside from that, the needle uses the standard 32x32 grid for the most part. Difficulty slope is pretty steep. Resetting resolution is very bothersome. Use a newer engine next time.
