Didn't really like most of the stages in this, unfortunately. Guess I might as well try to review all of them, though. Let's go in order from least favorite to favorite.
Fate: Just generally uncomfortable to play. All of the saves on the last screen were particularly bad and felt like they weren't playtested at all. Not satisfying to beat and made my arm hurt in the process. The tileset is also kind of painful to stare at.
Nader: Never really been a big fan of Nader's needle and this isn't an exception. It's way easier than the rest of the game and doesn't really belong in this collaboration either way.
Kady: Honestly most of the actual platforming felt pretty unreasonable and was only not a chore to play because of relatively short saves. Everything in this stage was the embodiment of "once is enough" for me.
Stonk: Goes way overboard with the gimmicks to the point where it loses its identity and feels fairly repetitive, but it's decent enough to actually play. If you hate water 3 and vines you're probably gonna hate this though, it's very jtool-y throughout.
Inferno: I normally hate inferno needle but this one was actually pretty fun. Jumps felt more reasonable and it was overall better balanced than most of the stuff I've played from him. Wouldn't mind more like this.
YoYo: There are some truly gross jumps here and there, but it had a nice difficulty progression and didn't go overboard with gimmicks like most of the other stages. The last screen was very fun.
Kale: Easily the best part of the game for me. I always love Kale's needle and this was no exception. Save placement was spot on and every jump felt fun and intriguing. The troll at the end is actually hilarious.
Overall it's not terrible or anything but unless there's an author you particularly like in the line-up you should probably just skip this and play Shiver instead, as far as needle collab games go.
