This game has Erik written all over it, and I think it's the best thing he's created to date. The graphics are amazing, and the fact that he hand drew everything is super impressive. The gimmick is also pretty fun and implemented in an interesting way. I didn't find any of the three forms to be faulty, although I seemed to only use the big kid when I had to. Maybe if you made his bullets do a bit more damage it would be a better choice for the bosses? I think that choosing between vulnerability and damage is a really cool concept for a boss fight. (You sort of have that already, but I don't think the damage boost for the big kid is enough to justify playing a boss with him.) Speaking of the boss fights, I really liked all of them. They remind me of the boss fights in cuphead with the multiple and varied phases. The attack patterns are pretty fair and dodgeable and they were overall a blast to fight. There is one tiny change I would make in the first boss, make the apples a bit more visible over the big apple so you can react to them better. Also I have a suggestion for the gimmick controls, if you could swap sizes with the up and down arrows it would be a lot less awkward to control. There isn't really much else I would add to this game. It was all super fun!

This is easily Erik's best work to date. This game oozes charm and personality thanks to his hand drawn art that has that unique Erik style. All of the bosses and sprites look great as well as their animations. The game itself is designed well and has an accessible difficulty level so players of all skill ranges can enjoy it. The bosses are fairly well done and I especially like the giant boss segments of them.

There's a gimmick that let's you change forms that gives you some variety on how to approach various segments. It doesn't quite reach it's full potential, but at the same time it never feels cumbersome in relation to the gameplay. Definitely worth checking out if only to admire the art work.

I really liked this one, the amount of content in this is impressive. Everything the game had to offer is done on a high level and it’s easy to tell that a lot of care was put into this.

The theme integration is great, it poses risk / reward factors that adds a nice element of depth which is complemented in the level design. The game is built around the mechanic and it gives the player options for how to tackle obstacles. Do you turn into the big form for reduced mobility, range but also higher damage? I’m a huge fan of these kind of decisions that you have to make on the fly.

I really liked the boss design, honestly I think every boss needs at least 2 phases to feel “complete”. This game takes that idea and goes even further, each phase is very creative and you never really know what to expect, I got a strong Cuphead vibe from the boss design. The theme also works really well for bosses, however I found big kid form to not be rewarding enough. The damage difference is very small, and the boss has longer invulnerability frames so that feels like they cancel each other out, on top of that your range is severely limited.

Overall this was an enjoyable adventure game with a fun mechanic that added extra depth to the experience. Level design was quite good but the high point of the game was easily the boss fights.

I enjoyed the whole thing. My one complaint was that I found that big kid was underutilized, and even though the bosses were fun, I couldn't think of a single scenario where I would have preferred a different kid over the normal kid. Still, this is very impressive and enjoyable. Erik has found his stride in making fangames.
