This is a somewhat difficult single boss game with two sequential difficulties and some bonuses. It is meant to be fun and a bit challenging.

The download is to the latest version 1.06 (despite the link name). The included update file lists detailed changes for each update (with spoilers).

Update - Version 1.06 (Sept. 19, 2018)
-Several nerfs to hard mode to make it more balanced, a few of which affect the regular mode. Hard mode is now a fair bit easier, but still difficult.
-A few other minor changes.

Update - Version 1.04 (mislabeled 1.05 in the files) (Sept. 18, 2018)
-Nerfed a few earlier attacks to try to minimize unfairness.
-Fixed a few graphical issues.

Release Version 1.00 (Sept. 12, 2018)

4 Reviews:

Rating based on medium.

This game is essentially a single boss-fight with some surrounding features which include some excellent production value.

Its a very fast paced, chaotic fight and was a lot of fun on medium. It comes with a harder mode as well, available once medium is completed which is quite a bit harder and changes up a number of attacks. Supposedly beyond that are additional secrets and endings, though the meat of the game is the boss fight.

The boss is very creative and well produced, though not without some flaws and the surrounding content helps contribute to the experience as a whole. There's a ton of detail put into every part of it, and attacks are designed with visible tells when applicable for fairness, showing a lot of thought went into this. Included in this is that each segment has changing mechanics, a must for keeping a game around a single boss fight interesting.

For more specifics:
Loved the chaotic feel, especially in phases 1 and 3. The details were awesome to see throughout - especially the nice touches like the lightning spawns and the clear but amusing tells like the umbrella as well as the very fitting and well executed healthbar. The fact that all 3 phases had a unique style was a huge plus.

The only major con for me was the bullet bounceback effect, which felt unnecessary and very out of place with the tiny kid bullet turning into a giant one, causing distraction. It felt like there were a couple of depth issues, with the kid being behind some of the smoke effects (this wasn't a big deal so much as it made sense) and the some bullets passing behind the dragons when they're in close proximity to the player.

Minigame was another huge plus.

Overall, this is a great bossfight game - challenging enough to definitely get some time out of without being overwhelming. And if you enjoy it (which you likely will, as its a well executed fight), there's further challenge if you're interested. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a creative, original bossfight to butt heads against.

After giving hard mode a try around 3-4 hours, I started to wonder HOW nobody thought it is unbalanced.

While it is really cool that there are added bullets for old attacks, and even new attacks on hard mode, there is so much amount of unfair combinations that you can get while playing.

Phase 1 was the most tolerable out of all, with all the new added stuff, you are forced to play more carefully, but even still, you can get screwed oftenly.

Imo Phase 2 in medium was already pretty challenging, but now on hard mode you get this new fire blast attack, which is actually not too bad, but with all the other stuff going it makes the whole phase harder. I think it would be fine if the lighting was completely removed, but keep the fire blast, I recall that many times I got completely obliterated by having to go left/right because of the aimed dragon bullets + jumping the fire blast AND OF COURSE there was a lighting or EVEN 2 in my way.

And for phase 3, damn.. I completely disliked this phase now compared to medium mode. First of all, it feels way harder to hit the boss, sometimes he decides to stop moving for almost 4 seconds doing the circle barrage attack twice, but other times he just spawns 1 attack and then keep moving almost instantly, all of this made it feel hard to predict. Also there is these things that stick on the floor for a long time, I don't really understand why is that a thing, it makes your dodging and landing spots smaller while there is already some attacks that can be very rough without them.

Then when you get the boss to half HP, he does the same attack as in medium but worse, the bullets that spawns on the side now have vertical movement, and if that was not enough, there is a wave effect that actually makes the bullets harder to read. And on top of that, the dragon decides to fly so near of the kid, so he can kill you just because you had to jump above a bullet, but the dragon was right above you.

Also there are definitely more chainsaws spawning, I swear there was a couple attempts where I literally got housed by all the stuff that was in the screen from other attacks plus the chainsaws deciding to fall on top of me, not to mention the chainsaws stick on the floor for a while.

While I had fun on the medium mode, I was disgusted by how many unfair stuff can happen in hard mode, at the current state, I'd recommend playing the normal fight, but not the hard one.
