It's very interesting to see this kind of fangame nowadays with how heavily established each genre's standards have been, seeing this is a real breath of fresh air, and feels like it was made by someone who has a lot more experience than most makers as well as someone who has much more to offer than he leads on.
Renex never ceases to surprise me with his technical skills and general domination over anything related to GameMaker itself, I don't know anyone who has gone to the same extent that he has on studying through it and putting what he learned to work for his benefit and making fangames, out of everything else he could be doing, in the most efficient way he can. And it certainly shows in the style this game goes for, shooting for a certain nostalgic aesthetic as a sort of homage to older PC games from the early 2000's or 90's, and still keeping it chock full with stunning production and pure eye-candy all throughout.
I can't wait to see more out of this maker, who came into the community out of nowhere dropping fantastic games one after the other, with entirely different concepts and themes than what the community aims for. The variety in his portfolio is something I respect a lot, helping to build a lot of his own character in an incredibly short amount of time.
Highly recommend this game along with everything else made by Renex, specially if you're looking for a good and chill time with a game that tries something completely different in each screen. Definitely one of the makers I look up to the most in the community.

When I first got into this community after playing around with a few early fangames, I don't think I would ever find myself playing the original again, given the amount of gripes me and so many others shared with it, may they come from the gameplay itself or from how (arguably) poorly put-together some of the source was for Guy. But I never had much faith that someone would manage to improve it on every aspect that brought it down so much while still being the exact same game that sparked whole niche of games so wildly different from its' origin, having the charm and original direction completely intact.
The amount of unparalleled effort that went into making sure this game ran as smoothly as it could in virtually any computer, with every single bug in the OG fixed and higher quality visuals/audio, go to the smallest details that most people wouldn't notice how much it adds to the game as a whole, and how worth it it really is to give the Remastered version a chance as much as you may dislike the original. Everything is perfectly consistent here and I'm glad I get to experience this game at its' absolute peak.
Highly recommend, for beginners and anyone interested in a bit of fangame history and where things really kicked off, as well as getting that itch for a nostalgic adventure that still holds up bizarrely well when you take out all the unwanted crashes and slowdowns... who would've thought? Thank you for saving this game from it's bad rep and giving it a chance to shine in the community once again, brighter than ever. Massive props to the incredibly talented team behind it!

Ein unglaublich charmantes Nadel-Abenteuerspiel von einem Klassiker, der mich immer wieder überrascht. Die Umineko-Thematik und -Musik, die Overwatch-, Touhou- und 6-Inseln-Referenzen sowie der immer so clevere Titelbildschirm und die Geschichte, die sich durch das ganze Spiel zieht, sprechen mich massiv an, schaffen es aber, eine ganz eigene Identität für jedes Gimmick und jedes neue Konzept zu haben, das sie repräsentieren, und ergänzen das Leveldesign mit sehr lustigen Ideen, ohne dass es nötig ist, sich auf einen übertriebenen Produktionswert zu konzentrieren, um es zu dem zu machen, was es ist.
Der Beatrice-Boss ist da nicht anders. Er hält dich mit jedem seiner Angriffe auf Trab und beendet das Spiel mit einem typischen EpicVormanax-Element: der automatischen Ausweichbewegung. Kurz, einfach, aber sehr süß und einzigartig. Die Persönlichkeit des Machers ist hier überall zu spüren, und dieses Gefühl spricht mich zutiefst an. Ich wünschte, mehr Macher könnten sich darauf beziehen und ihr Herz hineinlegen, um jedes Fangame abwechslungsreich und frisch genug zu gestalten und gleichzeitig ein lustiges, unvergessliches Erlebnis zu bieten. Für mich ist es das, was die Seele dieser Spiele ausmacht, und wenn die Leidenschaft so kristallklar ist, ist es unmöglich, nicht zu schätzen, wie viel sie gibt. Fantastisches Spiel, wie erwartet.
