Fangaming experience began in August 2018, so only modest achievements here. However, I'll describe some relevant FAQs here made to me during my stay here since 2018:

Q: Why are your reviews long and unconventional?
A: I am a film reviewer; in a way, I sort of unconsciously dragged my style of film reviewing to the world of fangames. I often involve personal experiences in my writing. Expect that structure; I'm not planning to change it.
Q: How are you rating games? Do you compare fangames as normal games that your ratings are lower than all other people ratings or are you just a critical person?
A: My ratings are not lower than people's ratings all of the time regarding fangames, but they are most of the time. However, this is not my intention. I am rating them as normal games, as in, I don't have a different spectrum for rating "normal", "official" games than fangames. They are in the same scale, because they are all videogames. I don't like to think myself as a critical person; ratings are just subjective numbers. However, I have realized that I rate games more harshly than I rate films/short films, which I do more often.
Q: What are your favorite fangames?
A: I have not played enough fangames to make a comprehensive and representative list, but this can be answered by going to my Favorites list. Anything getting 6.7 or higher will be considered immediately as a favorite.

Rating includes extra. Consider a difficulty of 45 for the main game.
I was looking at the rating and expecting something my criticized, low standards would normally rate among the 2.5 or the sort... Turns out this game is more creative and concise than expected in order to be enjoyed. Primary game has fun designs, a funny use of color when it is not as nice as the rest, two not-so-common bosses for being an old fangame and secrets that are not overtly cryptic. Secret 1 is surprisingly harder than anything contained in the main game overall; however, it is fun and short. None of the secrets are unfair trash. You clear three main stages, conquer the bosses and that's it. A simple experience. Right?
Very wrong. Behold the extra, which has probably the most catastrophic and illogical difficulty balance I have ever witnessed, with some of the earlier screens containing the most difficult jumps like double corners, and the last screens being laughably easier.
My thoughts do coincide with what the majority have said it here, but I'll thrown in some numbers (consider I am overall bad at fangames) for actually putting into good context how unfair, trash, stupid and frustrating the two first extra bosses are:
-I entered extra with 450 deaths (because I searched Secrets 2 and 3 by my own), and arrived at the first extra boss with 700 deaths. I exited that boss with 1100 deaths. Unfair, pointless combinations of garbage.
-I arrived at the second boss exactly with 1305 deaths and exited it with 2,450 deaths!!!
-Final avoidance took like 20 attempts only because I already know how to do the infamous Lovetrap avoidance pattern, and this one is much less precise.
It's stupid. Half of my playtime was spent with the second extra boss. It gives you combinations that are sometimes just a big NO and it is boring and uneventful. It's just stupid. I'm still mad at this boss.
Avoidance is wasted talent. It looked promising and the song is cool, but it lasts barely two minutes and is shockingly easier compared to the contents of the extra, which was too uneven by itself.
So I would recommend only playing the main game given that the other half is terrible, especially since doing only the main game already accomplishes the original purpose of the game which is considered in the title.

A very short needle game that was released before Hades, featuring a less interesting visual design and very trashy and generic choices. As usual, jump-cancelling will help you a lot throughout the game since there is a point where you will find a one-frame jump that ends into a TAS with the worst align possible actually. Also expect squished diagonals throughout. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this at all unless you're looking forward to knowing dagger's more popular and more challenging needle.

I wouldn't go to the extent that Leinaps even though it is indeed a farm game, but the difficulty distribution is decent, even if the first and third saves of the third screen were the hardest (final jump of final screen can be sort-of easily set up with the proper align).
This seems to be a game that baptized a new subgenre like L did: rocky needle with hard-soil-like-looking tiles and a music that doesn't seem to correlate at the beginning, but it then makes the experience somewhat more enjoyable. The farming thing is my biggest issue, but this is a love-hate relationship since most of the buffs come from highly dated needle, but this game made me do three things that I never considered myself capable of doing:
-A double downwards plane
-Squished diagonals, two downwards and one upwards
-Making an upwards plane and a downwards plane in the same jump
-A triple diamond
Edit: Wait, thats four... Anyway...
The first screen should prepare you for the horrors ahead, and my two cents definitely go for the third screen as the hardest, where the difficulty is a mess, and then goes down in the final screen. Experience was short, amusing and makes you face novice fears that sooner or later you will have to do if you keep delving into the fangame world.
Recommended only for veteran players, and consider jump-cancelling as mandatory knowledge for making this less of a screwfest. I grant some jumps being enjoyable and creative, but not the majority. It's more the feeling of accomplishment of pulling common difficult stuff off.

Rating includes extra of extra (true ending; secrets required). Difficulty rating includes main game, although considering extra, or extra of extra wouldn't affect it.
According to some records, this is either the first or the second fangame made by Carnival, but this and Nervous were ready at the same time for public release back in the time. Carnival was in his early 11's when he made this.
He's got a very nice concept of adventure in fangames. You feel it in every stage and also as you progress. LoveTrap was a huge inspiration for him and this is the first time it shows, sometimes too literally. Where gameplay is harmed is by adding traps after lengthy saves right at the end. Fine, we're still in the old-school times of fangames, so you get used to it, keep progressing, and once you finish the "main game" with no secrets, you come to this area which inspired literally hundreds of fangames in the future: now do a boss rush with all previous bosses, but buffed. They are all surprisingly reasonable, but enter the buffed Rin & Len avoidance and you just want to kill yourself. Significantly more luck-dependent than final boss of Nervous, this one is annoying because it applies the godawful gimmick of placing a small (Ruka) sprite following you very slowly the entire avoidance and, at the end, said sprite attacks you. It's Miku 2 of Love Trap basically, with very easy attacks and three attacks in particular that are just cancer. That avoidance alone makes this game deserve a 70 in difficulty rating. Everything was 55 at worst.
As sonicdv specifies, game gets better after you pass this wall-in-your-face avoidance. Secrets are required for extra, and getting them is quite annoying: trigger something in the main map, backtrack a lot (yei), get through the entire secret screen (and die to lots of traps... just why...), grab the secret, backtrack through the secret screen and grab the first save possible.
Just annoying.
That opens the area down below the main screen which you could see the entire time. It's ok. Then a boss.
But wait! There's even MORE extra. Just head to the left of the main screen and access a new area with more fun, and traps. This area is generically-looking but at least it has a couple of interesting screens. Then the TRUE final boss.
I insist, the adventure spirit is there; it's the dynamics that fail for me.
Note: Game took 10 hours, but 6 hours went to beating the buffed avoidance. 4 went for main game, secrets, extra, extra boss, extra of extra and true final boss. That's how atrocious the avoidance is.

Rating includes extra. Extra doesn't affect the Difficulty rating.
Here's the deal. Few know (or sometimes forget) that Carnival was 11 when he made this, and months later, he also released Crimson when he was 11 and 12 during Destination. The love for the original Guy was always a constant in his first fangames and it is always a good nod. This goes to the extent of recreating the left path with atrocious ideas and visuals. It's a mess. Maybe complaining about the first (I actually think it is his second) fangame of an early 11-year-old boy is trivial, but I do think we can. The only good thing going on in this game is the sense of adventure. You feel the genre, but you don't enjoy it; however, it is nicely structured until everything is ruined by atrocious avoidances. I really didn't have a good time at all.
However, the soundtrack is great for the platforming parts and the first cherry boss. Interesting choices with better taste than anything by Ed Sheeran.
