A fantastic adventure game. The stage variety is great, ranging from straight solid platforming, to traps, to gimmicks, to even puzzles, and the stages flow together very nicely as well. The boss fights are challenging but fair and get very intense near the end of the battles, the longer ones even give you HP which I greatly appreciate.

One problem I had was in a couple of spots it's easy to get lost and not know where to go, namely the tower stage with changing water levels, you can easily go the wrong way without knowing it and waste your time and the giant room in the final area which thankfully has the saves numbered so you can tell if you went the right way, but actually knowing which way to go can be a little unclear. Additionally, the sprites used for the walls in the wood stage can be misleading for knowing where the hitbox is which is an issue when using the bubble gimmick.

Overall this game was a great experience and had me excited to go back to it when I wasn't playing and I would highly recommend any experienced adventure fan to give it a try.

A hefty adventure game with a ton of content with that certain oldschool style and charm. Please note that while this is on a studio engine with built in control changing, it probably shouldn't be used as some of the in-game functions are tied to the specific default keys and rebinding it in-game may make things weird.

That particular quirk aside, production is mostly pretty laid back - lots of simple tilesets and graphics. Sometimes the production actively works against it, imo, with a couple of instances of both intentional or maybe unintentional (not even sure on some of it) visual challenge. For the most part, not too heinous though and stuff is solid.

There's a ton of stages, generally with a couple or three stages between each boss. The platforming is mostly pretty standard, built around pretty straightforward needle and cycles with a couple changing additions per stage. These aren't all that exciting, though there are some pretty cool ones and the stages mostly do have an identity with variation between light puzzling, traps, movement gimmicks and enemies to keep it fresh. (Except the bubble gimmick which was bad and used bad).

The bosses are a grab bag, some good and some not so interesting. Many of them have some level of imbalance or awkward parts but those all have hp as well to mitigate the brunt of the oddities. Some of them are also super easy so the pacing feels a bit weird as you might go a couple stages with no boss, then a super easy boss then a couple more stages with none. All in all, not a huge criticism and the bosses are mostly interesting so I can give it that.

Overall, I enjoyed most of it and it definitely keeps you guessing. The pacing is weak sometimes as detailed above, as well as some stages do feel like they drag on but there's a lot of content to be had and lots of things to see. If you enjoy adventure games and don't mind some rough edges, this has a ton to keep you engaged and interested in.

Fun and very lengthy adventure game which has a simple premise, going around the same area a few times but each time in a different season. Each season brings it's own set of fun gimmicks, which in most cases enhance the gameplay. As far as positive goes, the game has decently enjoyable bosses, but the star of the show is the platforming, occasionally incorporating a nifty idea, puzzle segment, or cycle based gameplay to stand out and create an engaging gameplay experience. The weakest parts of the game were the 2nd half of the Spring stage, as the bubble gimmick is extremely tedious due to breaking when contacting a wall, and there were some annoying moments. I also wasn't huge on the first half of the final stage, as it was so long and sometimes had traps which didn't mesh well with the difficult platforming. I really liked the second half however, a cool needle pathing area which is quite fun. As far as other notable things go, the Winter castle area was amazing. I really liked this game, and had tons of fun with it!
