Very non generic and non meta needle game, and while it is designed well, the dark theme honestly isnt done as well as it couldve been. It is halfway between satire and dead serious, which honestly ruined the feels.

I played this game more for the atmosphere and aesthetic than for the actual gameplay, and rightly so because the platforming is really nothing to write home about for the most part, often feeling dated or annoying to play. The visuals are kinda rough around the edges but still work really well, especially together with the music (which is mostly amazing btw). The only things I really didn't like about the game are the "no save" stage (for obvious reasons) and the upside down vines stage (also for obvious reasons I'd say), as well as a couple "memey" moments that kinda ruined the immersion.
Overall this game really manages to feel like an adventure in a surreal parallel world, which is really impressive considering the relatively basic visuals and level design.
