Rating is based on post-twourney v1.1 release purely on quality of the game.
Amount of effort and planning put in place to guide the player through all the traps is immaculate - game really wants you to consume the so called "flow". Beating any save, especially the first ones which I personally found harder, made me really feel like I got a great achievement for reaching the next saveblock. I wish that tutorials were a bit more spread out rather than having gimmicks drop at the beginning of the game given I forgor how some of the gimmicks worked midgame, but from design standpoint I do understand that having a tutorials midway would have absolutely ruined the pacing of the game. I also really appreciate the extra care with directions for players that can be siteread - really every screen is split in beginning section which is a bit harder (can call it mess around to find out) and ending which is meant to be played without prior knowledge ahead. This being said, I feel like some beginning sections were slightly too tight like flip-shoot-jump-weave at 1st screen and water-shoot-move-skull at 4th screen as you have to do those a ton, gets rough.
If you are great at platformers and ready to take some challenge, you should definitely try this game. It is perfect for great players and you will have a solid deal of satisfaction by beating every save in this game, can guarantee
