Really easy needle game that's pretty basic for the first half and then uses the same screen for the second. You'd expect that to imply it adds spikes each time you go through it but here it's actually the opposite, it removes them each time and makes it easier; this felt rather odd and made the game pretty dull by the end.
Wouldn't really recommend it, but the save sprite is kind of cool.

Pretty fun needle game that's split into four stages, I liked a good majority of it. The first stage is a vanilla introduction to the game but it picks up well from there with the other three having gimmicks to them. The one I liked the most was the second stage, which basically was an infinitely looping screen that made it work like a cool maze. I think my only complaint is the abundance of generic jumps here and there, so many saves end with gate jumps that it's rather tedious to die to them.
Would recommend.

Thug Life is a trapventure game on the higher side of difficulty that made it quite a mixed bag to play through, it's also a genuine mess in the fact that the game has a lot of issues with the engine, such as the sound system being a complete bust for some people.
The platforming at times is quite enjoyable, but some segments become extremely hard due to genuine execution difficulty as well as an overload of traps (one long save in particular comes to mind for spanning the length of like 3 normal trap saves). There's also going to be a requirement in the game regarding item collecting that doesn't give you until the end, meaning you have to replay stages afterwards for no real reason just to unlock the clear screen, if you wish to avoid this then that requirement is: While collecting the Milk Egg and Sugar get at least 10 of each minimum . There's also one real boss in the game, for some reason it's only halfway in, not at the end, it's not too much of a hassle but one laser attack can start extremely fast if you don't move in prediction of it every single time.
This being said, Thug Life also has some damn good charm to it in the form of the Thug Life system. These are basically the equivalent of achievements in the game for doing random hard stuff, such as landing on a ledge or doing a corner jump, and they come with a funny animation alongside an automatic screenshot in your game folder to keep as a memory. Some of them are frankly quite ridiculously hard, but you should be able to atleast pull off one or two in order to see how they work.
Overall, I would recommend Thug Life if you are comfortable playing pretty hard saves with traps, and are willing to potentially put up with technical difficulties as well with the engine. It's certainly a one-of-a-kind game.

Anyone who tries to make needle should play this beforehand. One of the best pure needle games youll ever play. I had to knock a few points off because in the last stage the tileset and background made me think I was pressed against a wall so I attempted a jump that was impossible for like 10 tries before realising that there was still 16 pixels to the left of me. You can call that my stupidity but eh. Amazing game.
