The game intentionally starts with low quality, and attempts to build it up gradually. Thankfully, it also starts out easy, so the early part of the game is not a hassle to deal with.
Now, does it get better? Well, the visuals, for sure. The design? Barely. It has dumb spike traps everywhere. The save points are poorly positioned touch saves that keeps moving you in and out of blocks and sometimes closer to spikes every time you reset. I even savelocked once. Thankfully, this is not a problem as you can just open the savefile and edit your position from there, as this game probably used the Yosniper engine.
The level design in the 3rd area is ok... sometimes. Sadly, the game has nothing more to offer than that. The first 2 bosses just uses basic attacks and has an attack that literally sends a wall of apples in a random direction. The avoidance is nothing special, and it's especially annoying how the room layout is.
Do not recommend.
