Ancient fangame with a weird format. You start out in hell, everything looks very red, and there's a lot of fire-related obstacles. That's the first screen. The very next screen is already a boss rush. Not the Kamilia series type of boss rush, but the type of boss rush where you have to beat boss after boss with no saves inbetween. And there's no save after the first screen, too, so if you die, you have to beat the first screen again, then play the boss rush. The bosses themselves are interesting: They are a little tricky, but once you understand how they work, they are relatively easy, so you can focus on learning the next one. The last one of them is really confusing and hard to get used to, which also means that it's the hardest among them.
After that, I'd expect the game to be over, but it's just starting. A long chase with puzzle-ish sections and needle sections, fast moving platforms, lots of moving obstacles, at some point you leave "hell" and soon you realize that this game's main mechanic is to never allow the player to rest. Ever. Despite the platforming being really precise, I can safely say that the first save, with the boss rush, was the hardest. In fact, it almost seems like every save is easier than the previous ones, with few exceptions.
And then, there's the last boss. It's a reverse chase, and it's really hard for RNG reasons. Random areas of the ground will catch fire, and sometimes you'll have nowhere to go, or sometimes you do but it's an ugly path that forces you to give up on a lot of damage. You also have a time limit to kill the boss, since the screen only scrolls to a limited distance. And that's even harder than it looks, because even though he's huge, his hitbox is small. Not to mention, his HP is really high and he has no invulnerability frames, which makes him a mashfest. Beat him, and you get to the clear screen, where you can collect a trophy that will crash your game with some weird error.
By now, you might have noticed that this game is very crude. Its structure is weird, the difficulty curve is upside-down, I almost feel like I played the game backwards, the end screen crashes and there are one or two other bizarre bugs along the game, the last boss is atrocious and the first save suffers of Boshy Syndrome. However, it's still really fun. The precise platforming keeps you on your toes from the beginning to the end, and the game is relatively short (Less than 10 saves, I believe, though they're all long and take long), so it's not a tiring experience. The boss rush isn't anywhere near as much of a chore as it might sound, there are some interesting gimmicks around, the visuals are nice and so are the musics, and the last boss...No, the last boss is just trash.
Anyway, it's a nice fangame. Crude, but nice, sort of like a certain favorite of mine. Would recommend.
