More of the first game basically but mildly more interesting, it still keeps things simple and easy but it's a good time overall, if a bit of a short one. I think the usage of gimmicks kept things a bit fresh which was nice, although I wish there were more triggers like the first game had in some spots.

The visuals are nice. The platforming shows its age; while there is some creativity, save balance is virtually non-existent and the gimmicks—excluding dotkid—are poorly utilized. Often the last jump of a long save is the hardest, which has always been, and remains, an unfathomably stupid design decision.

Nader is one of the most popular needle makers of the pre-modern era, and for good reason. Neon 2 isn't as good as Neon 3, but that's such a high bar that I still consider Neon 2 to be in must play territory for needle fans. To this day, I think Nader is one of the best dotkid makers. Dotkid, combined with low grav and speed boosts, creates the ultimate version of the dotkid power fantasy, doing impossible tight jumps with ease. The game also features some signature Nader room layouts, with uncommon block designs, and big strings of platforms. Overall, this is a rightfully iconic game, that creates some really fun segments, and some interesting saves that feel like the maker's signature.
