A bit of a mixed bag as you would expect from a collab. It has some cool concepts and fun gameplay, but quite a lot of it is unfunny memes from 2015. The hub system really carries this game though, as it makes it really fun to play through. I would especially recommend the needle levels, but I would not recommend any of the bosses.

The Try a Collab series is one you will either love or hate. It is oddly divisive in ways which depend a lot on your personality and mindset. I think if you go into these games, particularly collab 1, expecting a polished batch of mini-stages, you are not going to enjoy them. I think that if you want to properly appreciate Collab 1, you need to be good enough that everything in the game is in your skill comfort zone. There are boss fights which are not well balanced and stages which were frankly doomed from conception. This is why even though the difficulty is in the 60s, I recommend being able to comfortably clear 70 diff+ stuff so that you don't force yourself to struggle through the parts that aren't very good.
With those caveats out of the way, Collab 1 gets really far off of charm and novelty alone. Playing this game is like experiencing a theme park where anyone was allowed on the directorial board and nobody was allowed to veto any ideas. Sure, you may get a bunch of memes that aren't that funny anymore, or poorly made stages, but more importantly, you can tell that the people who made this game had an absolute blast with it. That joy is infectious and if you let yourself in on the developer headspace, you will start to treat Collab 1 exactly like that. I quite enjoyed the sheer variety present here and because I was good enough to easily beat the more questionable parts, and I had a good time with my playthrough overall.

Try a collab is pretty well known in the community, and the idea behind it is pretty neat. Each stage has it's individual components from music, graphics, level design, and coding done by different people, making for very unorthodox stages. There's a lot of content in this game, although generally it stays at a quality level of "pretty good." There's a lot of really unfunny memes in this game, maybe I'm not the target audience but I just don't find them funny at all, and they can often be coupled with some of the more annoying things in the game, particularly the more memey bosses and stages were really weak in my opinion. While nothing in this game was amazing, there was enough fun content to warrant a positive review, and I would definitely say this game is worth messing around with.

Except for the needle stage, I had a blast!
However, some of the stages were a bit poorly explained.

What can I say. This game has been a bit of a roller coaster of a ride. I stopped at completing 70/90 levels. I felt it was enough and some of the needle areas were too difficult. Nonetheless the game had good music the traps and bosses weren't too difficult and I enjoyed the game as a whole despite some areas looking better than others.
