A very lengthy needle game that's much different from all of Ef's other works. This game is split up into several areas, each with a unique visual set and some form of gimmick. The first area is vanilla needle; it's short but sweet. The second area is a volcanic stage that uses the animated fire commonly used in some fangames as obstacles as well as some vines; though the fire is a tad bit annoying at times, I found this area to be pretty enjoyable. The third area has a small spotlight effect and uses some water; the visuals in this area are all around pretty dark, and parts on the edge of the screen were pretty difficult for me to see, but the needle itself is really well done; it would have been better if the background was a bit lighter than it currently is, though. The fourth area uses some rotating spikes and makes use of triggers that alters the player's physics, such as speeding up, single jump only, gravity flipping, etc.; the visuals are also a little difficult to see in this area, but it's not as bad as the previous stage. There is also an extra stage that's also really well done.

I had a blast with this all around; would recommend.

Throughout the whole game, there were only very few instances where I was legitimately having fun. It had a ton of questionable moments like how the flames in stage 2 are placed for example or the difficulty balancing having a stroke where a very tedious save has a free save right after it, the latter happend a lot.

Stage 4 throws in gimmicks that aren't present anywhere else (other than the "rematch" screens of each stage) that I wish the game expanded upon more. This alone let to the game having potential since I found certain screens to be cooler than the rest of the game.

Going back to the rematch screens like I said before, the only one that was kinda okayish was the very left warp. It had some tough moments but it fits with the rest of the style of the first stage. As for the rest, shit turns really hectic. The first warp from the right (the only occurance of cherries in this game for some reason) was just god awful. The grid visual made it also a lot more distracting than it should have been.

Lastly, the final stage. It's just annoying jump after annoying jump, with only one or two saves actually being good.

There's this hidden warp on the clear screen which features visuals from the first stage but with more needle in it, but I haven't checked it out yet.

Ef is a good maker when it comes to needle overall, it's just that this one wasn't that enjoyable for me compared to her other works. I'd say skip it.

Fairly lengthy needle game. Consists of four stages followed by a stage rush themed on the previous stages and a final stage, after which you can also have access to the extra stage if you found the hidden room (Alternatively, the clear screen also has a portal leading to it). Most stages are themed on a specific gimmick or set of gimmicks, and use them pretty well. There's a decent amount of interesting jumps, combined with a few generic jumps. The visuals are pretty nice, and so are the musics and the death sound. It would've been pretty good if most of its saves didn't focus their difficulty at a single jump, but since they do, I can't really say that. Still, if you don't mind this kind of design, you should be able to enjoy it quite a bit. Would recommend, maybe.
