What do you get when you put together some of the best makers of the community? Well, you get one of the best fangames ever made, of course! Time and time again, I found myself in awe of the genius on display. Everything about this game helps define it as top-tier. From the start, I had a smile plastered onto my face and not once did that happiness leave me, not until the very end when it all came to a close.
Were I to list off my favorite sections of this game, I'd likely give you a list of the stages and bosses, talking myself into including more and more of the game until it's just all the game to begin with. Nonetheless, I'll try to cut it down to the absolute highlights:
Runnerman - This is actually the shortest stage in the game, but it starts it off so excellently it could be nothing less than one of the best. It is joy and ecstasy incarnate, pure happiness in the form of gameplay, and the greatest way possible to start off this impeccable journey.
Baba is You - Though not quite reaching the intellectual levels of the original game, this stage wowed me over and over again, screen by screen. It's so clever in its execution and fun to boot. I just loved everything about this and wish it was ten times longer, that being the nature of the truly perfect things in this world: they never last long enough for us.
Spelunky Boss - I wasn't a huge fan of the area itself, but the boss redeemed it for me - although saying that suggests the area itself is even close to bad, when more realistically it's just very good. The boss utilizes the shotgun to utter perfection, both in phase 1 and phase 2. That aside, the fight itself is just a whole lot of fun and really helped make the area more lovable for me.
Contra Boss - Despite not ever playing the original (technically I have, but not really), the Contra area stood out to me quite well thanks in part to the boss of the area which just knocked me right on my ass with how good it was. It's a semi-long fight, but I never minded the length even when I died right at the end because it was so well-made and fun to fight. This is truly the textbook way to make a good boss: well-balanced, great pacing, enjoyable and unique gameplay, and a perfect way to cap off such a good area.
Castlevania Boss - This is one of many sections in which I remained awestruck throughout the experience. I didn't spend very long here, to my own detriment, so I didn't give it the time it truly deserves - time enough, though, time enough!
Final Boss - In short, the most exquisite way possible to bring one of the most exquisite fangames ever made to a close. In slightly more long, this boss is one of the most well-designed fights I have ever had the pleasure of fighting. The humor is perfect, the gameplay is on point, the music splendiferous, it all comes together in a way that could bring a tear to anyone's eye. It's almost hard to believe how good this fight is, hard to believe anything could be this fun.
In all, I Wanna Stop the Simulation brings together all the greatest elements of fangames and puts them into one juicy package. I wasn't there to see it at inception, but I'm here now, and by God am I glad to be here. My deepest thanks goes out to all the creators that made this possible, as well as the community at large for allowing such a brilliant thing to come to fruition. This is why I am so thankful to be here, so I can play games like this.

I really loved everything in this game, it's yet another splendid game. It felt like the perfect sendoff for the marathon series. Truly stunning, moment by moment I enjoyed everything.
