This was an experience. There is technically content to this game before phase 3 of this boss. I won't say it doesn't matter, but 95%+ of your time playing this game will be on the boss phase 3, so I'll focus on talking about that.

So, as a bit of a preamble, I have really bad reaction time/processing speed. It is something that has been diagnosed by a doctor. I'm like 97 percentile in a bunch cognitive of areas but around 35 percentile in processing speed. This is a boss that absolutely requires you to not only be plugged in at all times, but also has a lot of attacks that require instant reactions, and will punish you if you're off by one frame. There is also a massive element of luck involved in this boss. Some attacks don't allow you to damage him at all. In-between attacks his position rapidly switches and you might not get much damage off before he starts up another one. Some allow you to get massive damage but only if he stands in the correct position. Some give you massive damage but also can screw you over with attacks very few people can actually react to. A lot of this fight is putting yourself in the correct position so that you can have the most amount of time to react possible. It is extremely luck-based even with that. That doesn't mean it isn't fun, but it means that sometimes you will go for long periods of time without a good attempt because he just isn't giving you attacks with good damage potential.

I don't really know how to feel about this fight. It is extremely cool, quite frantic, and genuinely satisfying to play, but it's also pretty bullshit. Even on my clear attempt I got extremely unlucky with him giving me the ultimate final attack TWICE. I think that if you want to play this, you should treat it pretty casually. It's a learny fight despite how random it is; to the degree that you won't exactly understand how to play just from watching. If you do want to play, I'll give you an attack by attack rundown of how *I* personally did each of them.

PHASE 3 PART 1:

General strategy:
Stay in the left column unless an attack comes that forces you to go to the other ones. This positions you in the best spot to react to the pickles and unicycle attack. Before the first attack, chase after what row he's in for damage, but afterwards, use your discretion since he moves quicker. I chose to just stay in the center row and hope he walked into my attack. He will also never do the same attack twice in a row.

Unicycles:
You cannot damage him during this attack, but it is pretty straightforward. Generally speaking, it's better to start this attack in the center left square, but its a timing you'll get the feeling for pretty quickly and be able to do no matter what.

Pickles:
Stay on the left column and focus on standing in the row where you can damage him when possible. The reason you stay in the leftmost column is the diagonal bullets can't hit you no matter what. You generally want to read where the yellow spots that spawn bullets are from rather than the bullets themselves. This attack also has the potential to wall you but most of the time won't actually, even if its really difficult. You'll probably hate this attack at first, but be glad to see it later as its one of the better attacks for actually dealing damage.

Fakeout explosion:
Get out of the row he's standing in and move to the right column as quick as possible. It's probably the most free attack in the whole fight, and it's good to see because it means you get basically a little bit more free damage.

Crashing Shuttles:
This is for me the least consistent attack in the fight, but not because it's unfair. It just requires you to react SUPER quickly. Get to the center tile as it gives you the most time to react, and always go diagonally if possible. Even if you just find yourself completely unable to process the attack, there is a 50% chance you will survive if you move diagonally towards a corner in any direction. Return to the center afterwards. This will go on for 5 rounds before the attack is over.

Killer Queen:
The first round he will basically pick a square. Memorize it because that's your safe spot should he choose to do killer queen again before the 2nd half. You can get a free 20 damage or so from part one. The second time he does killer queen, every tile except the one he didn't highlight the first time will explode. If you make it to the 2nd half, go to the rightmost column as all of those tiles will not be trapped, and you can get some extra damage.

Arrow explosions:
This attack *is* super consistent, and if he picks the middle row to start the attack, you can get a ton of damage, but it takes a while to get the timing and has a pretty steep learning curve. Don't focus on dealing damage, just focus on surviving. Move to the center tile, and go to the tile on the opposite end of the arrow. The rhythm is one two three for the explosions. Move back to the center very slightly after the two count. It takes a while but once you have the muscle memory you don't lose it.

Bombs:
This attack is dumb and bullshit!!! It is by far the most problematic attack in the fight to me, but also has the most potential for damage. The attack will spawn in bombs that kill you if you're standing on the same tile where they spawn, and are also hard to react to. They can explode orthoganally or diagonally after spawning in, and will aim at you. The bomb spawn is random but the explosion is aimed. I did not know this until after clear and Cosmoing pointed it out to me and now I am upset. Generally it's better to get out of range from both as it leaves out a potentially extremely tight reaction window. You can also just get cornered and have no way to escape though and just die. It happens super often.

PHASE 3 PART 2:

General strategy:
Once he gets below 200 hp, no matter what, he will absorb 3 tiles and give the space to you. This also counts as an attack, so if you got one attack before reaching this, you could get the same one again, so watch out for that. Generally still stay in the leftmost column and like don't choke.

Unicycles:
Stay in the center row left column between each round. He will go in 2 rows at once rather than staggered, so staying in the center gives you the most time to react. Still pretty straightforward.

Fakeout explosion:
Same as before. Get to the rightmost column. It's a little harder since you technically have more inputs before the explosion goes off, but it's still good when you get it as it's pretty free.

Crashing shuttles:
Start at the same tile you started in in phase 1. There will always be at least one safe tile in the starting 3 grid on this version of the attack. It's more random but you can definitely power through if you clutch. For me this attack almost always meant the end of the attempt.

Killer Queen:
If the explosion happens at this point and the first half was already started, go the rightmost column. If he starts the attack up, still pay attention, but I never once had an explosion of every tile go off during my time playing this fight.

Bombs:
Pray! Same general strategy but the bombs are even faster. It's the best attack for damage, but you still don't really want it because of how dumb it is.

Super omega fuck you reaction check mudamudamuda etc:
His sprite will change before you hear the sound cue so react to that. Move diagonally, but have your vertical input be the first. Be on the lookout for it because if you get caught off-guard you WILL just instantly die, and you will probably die even if you know it's coming because it's a raw reaction test.

Final:
He can do final at any point. It's possible to win without getting a final, but he probably will do it anyways. On my winning run he did final twice. It's super fucked up to learn at the end of a fight like this. Basically, he will telegraph 8 explosions he will do, and will do one explosion on each column. The explosion will never be on the same tile within that column twice in a row. Count to 8 in rhythm with the explosion telegraphs. Move out of the way on the number you count on.

So for me I would say:

1
2 (move)
3
4
5 (move)
6
7 (move)
8

Then i would move in accordance with the rhythm. It was the only way the attack was possible for me and I actually preferred getting this to bombs later on because it's more consistent. After you get through, you can deal a solid 70 damage or so before he gets up again. If you're lucky, he'll die during this period or shortly after.

So yeah, End Your Life. One of the most fucked up bosses I've ever beaten. I enjoyed my journey. It's a unique fight, but it definitely appeals to only a specific type of player. I got pretty mad at the RNG at times but attempts go by so quickly that it didn't matter all that much. It's fun!

Super cool game with a tiny platforming bit before a really cool three phase boss with checkpoints. I've never played Mega Man Battle Network but the mechanics of this boss are super cool and fun to deal with, particularly in phase 3 as the first two are pretty easy. There's a big learning curve but it gets consistent and readable and stays super intense and fun. The only complaint is that some of the RNG can be a little tilting at times, I wouldn't say it's unfair but it can suck getting owned by some really rough stuff, although usually the annoyance goes away 5 seconds into the next attempt, because of just how intense this fight is. Great stuff, recommend more people try it!

Phase 3 is just one of the craziest things i managed to beat. It's hard to describe experience of this game (it's consists of very short needle and insanely unique boss that consists of 3 phases with checkpoint on every of them, if it can help). For me it was definitely absolutely fun journey. Let me tell this - if you like crazy strange attacks that are looks humanly impossible for first look, fast pace and/or Mega Man Battle Network - go in
