Patch 1.11 : https://www.mediafire.com/file/25exqmwuxzi8w1e/I_wanna_Eclipse_ver_1.11.zip/file
more framerate issues fixed since 1.1
Things to note:
make sure you don't just copy the exe since there's more stuff in the music folder (doesn't apply if you're just going from 1.1 to 1.11)
A boss intro is now skippable once beaten
Another boss intro can be shortened with S and the intro attack is now a bit less annoying hopefully
Final boss changes (not exactly nerfed, but hopefully less unfair)
Framerate should not drop anymore
other minor changes
I'm leaving the 1.02 link up if you prefer the old version of bosses (and if this is somehow broken)
Patch 1.02

This is the best fangame of the year. Maybe even of all time. Everything is perfect. Thank you GWiz.

This game is a huge mixed bag, that I think just barely nets it an above average rating. There's a lot in this game that's frustrating and just not fun to play. A lot of stages are zoomed in which makes it feel like you're moving faster when you're not, and sometimes can make sections confusing, since you can't look at the whole picture of what you're supposed to do. I feel like removing the zoom would greatly enhance the experience, the final stage specifically could've been really fun if it wasn't there. Another big problem is the bosses, every boss is super simple (except for two of them), and they all have unskippable intros (the true final boss lets you skip the intro, but not completely, as you still have to wait 5 seconds after pressing "s") which gets really annoying after a while.
There is a few parts of the game I enjoyed that made my overall enjoyment of the game a net positive. The purple screenwrap stage had some clever design that was very fun to play, my only issue was it was quite short. The sideways gravity stage was also very fun, sideways gravity is one of my favorite gimmicks and the pathing that was used was a treat to see and play through. The final stage like I said early seemed like it had some good design, the zoom just ruined it for me, but I can still see some merit in it. The second phase of the true final boss was a nice epic way to end the game, but it fell flat, since as far as I can tell, it had two attacks and lasts about 45 seconds. Those two attacks were cool I guess, but it still felt kinda anti-climatic to end on something that simple and easy.
Overall I feel like true ending isn't worth it at all, the bulk of what I feel is good in this game is all outside of extra. If you decide to play, I'd recommend stopping after regular clear.

Very very cool fangame, probably my favorite of 2019. I don't know if I am washed up, or if people just didn't go for the true ending, but I found this game significantly harder than people were saying, with the platforming in the final area and the true final boss giving me more trouble than I would have expected. Some personal issues are that the game feels a little too precise at times, and I personally think there were too many end of save traps, to the point where they just became a little annoying instead of funny. The only real issue with the game is that secrets are mandatory, which I shouldn't have to explain why this is a bad idea. It really screws up the pacing when you have to spend an hour of your time going back through the game replaying parts you've already cleared just so that you can play the final boss.
In short, absolutely spectacular game, with a really good difficulty curve that ranges from easy, to pretty tough, awesome boss fights (I wish there were more personally) and a really really good ost come together to create a must play fangame. I'd highly recommend it if you are good enough.

Rating based on true clear. I'd put it in the 50-55 difficulty range if not for the final boss, which is a good deal harder than the rest of the game IMO.
A very competent adventure game with original graphics and a decent amount of content.
Unfortunately, I feel like it ends at "competent." While the level design is solid throughout, none of the areas really stuck out for me that much; it often felt like a stage would end right as it was really ramping up. Many times I was left going "that was it?" after clearing a stage, because I felt like the design concepts could have been pushed further than they were. Perhaps my expectations were set too high by the reviews on here, but ultimately the game simply didn't feel very "grand" -- it took me a little under five hours to finish the game (about 45 minutes of which was the final boss), which is nowhere near what I was expecting.
Still, there's nothing really wrong with the game, and it has much higher production values than the average fangame, so I can't say I didn't enjoy my time with it. The final boss in particular was quite fun once I got the hang of him; I'd have liked the rest of the bosses to aspire to that level of complexity, to be honest.
Overall, Eclipse is a fine game, just don't go into it looking for more than a visually polished adventure game that mostly consists of (admittedly well-made) cycle and timing challenges.
It's worth noting that this was made in GM8.1, so it has rather noticeable amounts of input lag, which might be a dealbreaker for some people. There's also no pause function, which I personally found annoying.

This is a game I have no idea how to rate. I was enjoying this quite a lot, though there were some gripes. Then the game threw mandatory secrets in my face, which is a shame cause i didn't find any and it wasn't amazing enough to want to explore for them right now. I still count it as a bad end, which considering the length of the game is pretty much a clear to me.
The platforming is cool and had some really neat moments. The novelty of those moments (which were mostly because of production value) went away and while i was still enjoying it, i could notice some annoyances. Mainly the traps later on didn't feel as cool and funny anymore and the platforming got a bit too slowpaced for me. Though it gets countered by the beginning being the opposite and doing both of those thing really well.
The bosses were a bit hit or miss for me. The wizard was fun, though the beginning got a bit annoying to have to repeat, I wish there was a skip button that would work after getting past it for the first time. (Or atleast the boss spawn animation.) The attacks after that were great though and very unusual in a good way. The robot boss I didn't really like, it was a bit too learny for me and felt like a glorified avoidance without the good music. (note: i do like avoidances, it just felt weird.)
The production value is through the roof and the soundtrack is pretty nice too. It did a great job carrying some of the slightly less strong sections. I really appreciate the effort that went into it.
Maybe i'll try to get the secrets soon and update the review but for now this is as far as i'll go.

Adventure game which is decently sizeable and a good amount of variety. It's certainly a spectacle to look at but there's a few things which I had issues with. The traps felt kinda out of place, I think the game would flow better without them, and some of the platforming (especially in the earlier parts) isn't very noteworthy in my opinion. There were two major blemishes towards the end, the Robot boss was sorta obnoxious and tedious, and the platforming stage after annoyed me a lot, I'm not even sure why I just really hated it. Despite those things, the rest of the game has cool satisfying platforming, bosses which really feel like impactful boss fights in their scope, and a great conclusion. Absolutely play it if you haven't!
