While the idea of a game based on unique killer shapes is an interesting one, I feel that Cursed needle does not do it justice. The spike shapes chosen are relatively commonly used ones, such as the shark fin spikes, or circles. These are barely different from standard spikes. In addition, the jump design doesn't used them particularly well. I never felt like I was doing anything other than familiar jumps. This could be converted to a standard needle game with only minor changes.
Furthermore, the jumps themselves are not particularly fun. They are often poorly balanced, and the difficulty came from annoying spike in precision. Ultimately, I have a hard time recommending this game. It's not nearly as "cursed" as it claims, and winds up being pretty generic.

Got really annoyed at save 2 but everything else played nicely and I enjoyed my time; I feel like it would have been worth trying to make a screen combining multiple spike shapes for the final screens.
