New Weegee is one of the most exciting 2022 releases that nobody expected at all. It's been years since the old version was first shown to the community, but now here it is almost a decade later in a complete form, and it's going to knock your fucking socks off.
Weegee is an extremely long Adventure game with a load of variety to carry it the entire way. The game has over 15 different stages in it, most of which come with their own bosses, and all of them have a different level of gameplay designed to keep the player entertained but also on their toes. One minute you're dealing with platforms that are carried by spider string, another time you'll be shooting orbs to flip your gravity. A major factor that I really appreciate about this game is that Trigger has proven you can make single jump gameplay incredibly fun, and surprisingly gets a lot of mileage out of it too. Other neat factors involve 3 unique items you get that serve as cool gimmicks, each time you unlock one the game feels like it evolves just a little bit more as the platforming becomes even cooler. On that note, I'd say in general this game has some of the best platforming segments of any fangame. The bosses were pretty neat too, they usually involve gimmick usage as well in order to make each of them unique and interesting.
There are some aspects of the game, despite my 10 rating, that I do think could use some improvement anyways in order to bring up the general quality and help others who have struggled. Reveal Spoiler These comments are mainly just suggestions in case an eventual update is planned to fix more stuff, but the game is completely playable even if not done.
Overall, I think New Weegee is one of the best contenders for Fangame of the Year, and easily one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences I've had. It took years to make, but the wait was absolutely worth it because this game is one of the absolute monoliths of our community.

Really amazing fangame, it's definitely one of the largest adventure games I've ever played, boasting 13 unique stages plus extra hidden ones and cool little collectibles along the way. The game has a great feeling of progression as you occasionally gain new items and abilities which tangibly change gameplay. Towards the end it gets quite intense with the constant item swapping, but mastering this mechanics is very satisfying. There's also an incredible amount of bosses, with lots of variety in this department as well. I had some minor gripes with a few bosses, but considering the scope of the game, it's really nothing worth reducing my rating for. One of the best adventure games of all time.
