I guess there is no clear screen so you can clear and die after ?
I beat this twice, with the 2nd clear lasting a bit longer when the clear message appear and still did not go in a clear screen either.
One section feels luck based unless it's a fast targetting attack, but with the curves its not very clear.

I've never broken it, so I can't rate the level of difficulty, but it's never as easy as 39 (very subjective)
