Really excellent picks all around. I'm not very good at bosses in general, but I thought there was a really smooth difficulty curve anyway. The bits of original content are excellent as well (especially the final twist and boss) and there are some features that have yet to be executed to the same degree since.

For: I wanna formulate the Categorical Imperative
My third fangame, containing my first attempts at original graphics. The conceit of the game is that each stage develops from having no graphics and no music to being fully fleshed out in both regards. Other people did not seem overly enthused by the idea even when it was pointed out to them. There are bits of Kant's writing scattered in the game and you encounter a portrait of him during the final boss (which was the first jump refresher-based boss ever to my knowledge.)

Name explanation: The Categorical Imperative was a philosophical notion devised by Kant that supposedly would allow the determination of whether any given action is morally right or wrong once properly understood. There are multiple formulations of things single idea, the text of which appear in the game.

Just another joke platforming section that goes right to a boss. I still like it for what it is, but no one else seems to think it's as amusing as I do. It's also the second time another title screen appears within the game itself (Descend Into Hell being the first.) You can see some starting attempts at production in the boss battle.

Name explanation: There's a sun, you praise it. It's a Dark Souls reference and people knew I made games with longer titles, so I was planning on tripping them up. The boss's title screen (I Wanna Deracinate the Wall of Theodosius II: Deractinate Harder) is a Die Hard joke.

For: I wanna descend into Hell
My first fangame. It was made and remade over a long period of time, going from about 20 screens, to something like 150, and then back down to maybe 90 in total. There are a lot of beginner mistakes in it, but I think I brought a pretty satisfactory level of variation to the table even though my execution was not as spectacular as it is today. Some mechanics (such as the bunnies) have never been perfectly replicated with modern fangame technology.

Name explanation: It's just referring to the downward progression in Terraria, since I took basically all the visuals from that game.

I like the gimmick of changing guns, and all the areas (but one) look nice but that doesnt make up for the bad level design and HORRIBLE bosses. I had to quit the game at the second girl that shoots fireballs at you. You can tell a ton of effort was put into making this game, but unfortunately it is brought down by the shitty level design, cheap traps, and RNG bosses.

Simplistic, easy 50 floor game. Nothing too special, but it has decent music and graphics. The last few screens get a bit tough.
