Another work of surumeika,featuring Pokémon bosses and trap-based stages.
I usually enjoy his works, but this one wasn’t to my liking.
As for the stages, the traps were repetitive, consisting mostly of scenarios that required choosing between two paths. Additionally, the needles often involved ceiling jumps or double needles, which were frequently frustrating.
The bosses were okay, but the final one seemed to have unfair attacks.

as much as I enjoy playing through surreal games and whatnot, this game was not enjoyable.
you start off in a room where you're asked whether you want control or not. "maybe" is blocked off so your only real options are yes and no. choosing no will warp you to the left side of the screen. at this point, there really isn't much of a choice, you HAVE to choose yes. when you do so, you're sent to a room with some water, spikes and a floating vine. dying in this room (or any room from this point on) will make it impossible to restart, forcing you to reset the entire game by pressing F2. after you get through that room, you find an item, which unlocks the "maybe" option. now, after choosing maybe, you fall off the room into another room which is where this creator's next game (Father...) starts. there are no blocks to stand on, which means you just fall off and die, with once again no way to restart from there. the game seemingly ends there as I can't seem to find anything else to do on that room.

I would say this is the dagger version of Morning Dew. There's three stages, all of them are zoomed-in underwater stages as the title implies. I understand them being annoying, since they feel pretty wacky, but personally I enjoyed this a lot. Especially the gimmick in stage 2 was really fun to figure out and plan how to beat every section, it's honestly cleverly designed in my opinion. In stage 3 I was a bit exhausted since it's dark, there are a lot of aimed obstacles, and the saves are long, but I still think it's unique. Personally I think it's great, but note that not every people will enjoy this.

Needle might be harder if you're not familiar with it, especially save 2 personally.
Avoidance was really chill, but there's one attack that was a bit uncomfortable in the first half. It's generally a bit bland, but I love avoidances like this so I didn't really care. Recommended.

A game that is on weaker side among dagger's games. Traps in this game feel like they are constantly killing me, which is pretty exhausting. Second stage had some overly precise jumps or saves I didn't enjoy that much. Rest of the game wasn't great either. It's overall playable though. It's just okay. Wouldn't really recommend, unless you're interested in this.
