I feel as if when it comes to absolute fundamental design for an adventure game, Diverse is the perfect example of what works, at least for me. The traps are pretty well placed, and they aren't too basic while not being super elaborate, it's just a little flavor I'd say, and the stages are good, introducing simple but fun mechanics and capping each off with a boss, and this game has really good bosses in my opinion, fun attacks, unique mechanics, everything that makes a boss good in my opinion is present in these bosses. It's a shame it never got finished, although the current final boss is definitely one of my favorite fangame bosses, it's just really cool and has a nostalgia factor since I first saw it as like a 12-13 year old. Really fun game in my opinion, I think it's aged gracefully.

Neat pattern avoidance with platforming segment. It's weird to figure out how the patterns work, but you will learn it after a couple of minutes.
