A medium length game with four short stages followed by a boss. Lots of triggers, but pretty fair ones. The bosses aren't amazing, but they're not terrible either. There are also some cool effects in some of the needle screens. Overall a decent game.

Good music, cutscenes and visuals. The spike design is annoying with some weird jumps and with the mario powerup it feels even more tight. The last stage has conveyors (who likes those?!) and smashing things, the screens where you have to time your jump on the conveyors to dodge the smashing things suck.

Hiddow really created a masterpiece with Catharsis. A problem I find with most fangames is that is doesn't capture my attention; however, Catharsis has really great pacing. The game starts off relatively easy and gradually gets harder but never goes full blown bullshit. There are a couple autoscrollers and elevators mixed in with needle screens that make it feel like a game instead of a chore.
The only screen that doesn't bode well for the game is a moving platform jump fest with walls that kill you. It seemed as if the rest of the game was very artistic but this one is not.
And if you replayed the game you'll notice that it's actually 2 games. Normal and hard are completely different!

A really nice puzzle type fangame where there the kid has been split into 2, and the game switches back and fourth between the 2 to navigate various areas in an effort to try and reunite them. One kid can double jump and the other can shoot. Once they get reunited there is a boss.

A troll fangame that's all about tweaking nipples. You platform through nipples that bounce you all over the place. The bosses all require the player to click the nipples until the bosses climax and splatter their population paste all over the place. Final boss spoofs the famous colonel avoidance boss. Be careful, if you over-click the nipples of some of the bosses, things get really....interesting.

This is a really nice borderline needle game that has a very unique visual style. It's not particularly hard and doesn't contain a lot of the classic needle jumps so I hesitate to call it needle, but its most a spike game. At the end of the game there is a platforming maze the player has to find a way through.
