interesting adventure game from 2014. usually doesn't set itself apart in too much other than a few design choices and the artstyle - having a somewhat unique take on black and white (for the time, at least). the game often uses this color contrast to conjure more interesting and diverse gameplay ideas, such as in the big kid boss. the game takes inspiration from Lovetrap, as many early games do, but also from other games by directly lifting screens from them (i.e. GB, Destination, HeavenTrap, Device, etc.) these are mainly found in the last stage, leading up to the final boss. in the early screens of this game I also would like to take note of a good use of non-Euclidean room design; where rooms that should loop back into each other actually lead to entirely different rooms. this makes it feel like you're backtracking, which can feel a little confusing. I suppose that's a good thing, as it's not something you often see in fangames
the game is mostly platforming, with only two bosses and a puzzle area which I'll group into the bosses for good measure. the big kid boss is pretty fun and simple, I find it's quite memorable as it's probably gonna be the only thing I'll remember from this game, along with maybe a few traps along the way that I found interesting. the puzzle areas are somewhat cryptic to figure out. the one with the name is most notable as it's the most confusing one. doing seemingly random things appears to make the spikes fly up. one of the things you have to do is Reveal Spoiler the one which tells you not to give up I found kinda funny. final boss is a long endurance fight, sort of reminiscent of Destination, likely due to the color scheme (or lack thereof?) and final attack being very similar to the white phase of Destination. there's some actually kinda difficult reading you have to do, it isn't exactly a walk in the park where you can just turn your brain off and beat the entire fight effortlessly. it's a lot like Destination in that sense.
unfortunately platforming gets kinda annoying after like 15 screens of nothing but perpetual trap assault

面白かった。
道中が難しくボスが優しかったですね。
私は道中が好きなので、丁度いい難易度でした。

Trap game with two stages and two bosses.
The first stage is bad apple style (white and black), the traps are much but not bad. The boss are two kids inspired by lovetrap very long.
The second stage is a medley stage but with another tiles and with more traps. The miku boss is the better in the game.

A trap game divided in 2 stages. Each stage is followed by a boss.
The first stage is black and white sprites with restarting black apple music. The second one is a medley of screens taken from games like lovetrap, heaventrap 2, colour and more.
The first boss is inspired by lovetrap big kid and it's extremely long and boring. Final boss is a leek Miku with 100hp, and it's also the only part of the game I found enjoyable, there is not much waiting unlike in the first boss fight.

Singularity is a fangame that has very simple graphics, good platforming and decent bosses. Definitely a game that everybody should try.

Fun fangame split into two stages, each stage having one boss. The game is completely monochromatic, the first stage being white and black, and the second one being gray, black and white. Even the saves and the kid are black, which gives the game a serious vibe.
The first stage is the Bad Apple stage. Mostly focused on traps, it's extremely lenghty, but the traps are well-placed and the gameplay is varied enough to keep things entertaining. The first boss is a fairly difficult fight against two Big Kids at different heights, mostly memorable because of their annoyingly high amounts of HP.
The second stage is a huge difficulty leap. It's a medley stage, shorter than the first, but far harder. The platforming now incorporates tricky needle jumps and the traps are actually hard to avoid. The visuals are darker now, the music is serious, the whole stage gives the vibe of a big challenge. But the peak of the difficulty is the last boss. Very well-made and very difficult, fighting this boss is a challenge that not everyone can handle. 100 HP, invulnerability frames, takes around 6 minutes to beat, tight maneuvering from the beginning to the end. It's hard, but fun, fair and rewarding, which makes the effort worth it.
The game is good, but it's the last boss that shines here. Highly recommended, but only if you think that you're skilled enough to reach the end.
