Decided to pull this out of the old timer archives because I'd heard good things about it. It's easy to see why this game was regarded as good but it does not stand the test of time - not even a little. I'd venture to say this is one of the worst fangaming experiences I've actually had. Its not the game is purely bad, but it was not enjoyable and had just the right level of good parts to make you wonder if you should keep trudging through it which made me dislike it even more as it went on.

Everything about it feels like it has the right level of quality to seem like it could be good, but actually be bad. Production value looks alright, but some of the visuals just serve to make the gameplay worse. Additionally, it uses assets from other games well, then mixes them with generic garbage that feels horribly out of place and half-assed. It has some well implemented sound effects but audio quality is mediocre and music restarts (as to be expected of the era).

It starts off with an interesting premise and leads to what seems like it would be an interesting concept which pulls you in but every idea feels designed worse and implemented poorly. Save positioning is bad, save balance is terrible, there's maybe one decent trap per dozen almost to justify all the garbage ones. Most of the gimmicks aren't necessarily bad, but are poorly utilized and there's platforming sections peppered with completely unnecessary tedious RNG too.

Don't bother playing this game, there's so much better out there these days. This game is basically run the marathon except where everything is done wrong. There's a lot of ideas and effort in here which I credit it for, but it definitely wasn't any fun.

Nice mixture of good ideas and ideas that aren't really that good. First off, the concept of the game is really great. Travelling through parallel worlds in order to progress in the Kid's own world is a really good idea, and it starts very well. The Minecraft World is very well-made, with interesting gimmicks, funny trolls and overall being a very well-designed stage (Although the boss was a bit too hard for a first boss). Mario Kart's World is also a great stage, although spikes...Don't really fit in the desert stage (Maybe in the ice stage and in the castle stage, but in the desert...No way). Also, the lightning balls in the castle stage are a bit too RNG-heavy. But it's still a very well-made stage, and a good way to represent Mario Kart in a fangame. Mario 64's World is also great, although...Spikes, again. Other than that, very well-made stage, loved how the Mario Kid jumps and the star placement. Some traps are a bit...Meh, but some are funny. And finally, Pokemon's World is the last really good stage in the game. For the last time, the unfitting spikes are the biggest problem (Was Dagger really the only one who remembered that these games didn't originally have I Wanna be the Guy's spikes?). Funny trolls that clearly show who made this stage, along with some extra attractions. Surrounding the screen with the "Pokemon Gold Version" was also a good idea, it really feels like you're playing the actual game. More or less.
And then, there's the second half of the game. They're not terribly bad stages, but...I feel like they could be so much better...First off, we have the I Wannas' World, which references to famous fangames: GB, Fangame and Lovetrap, with short mentions to Rukimin and, according to the credits, Galaxy. The GB area is good. Funny trolls, and interesting use of GB's gimmicks. Some traps are annoyingly precise, but other than that, it's a nice stage. Fangame, however, is just not alright. Timing the earthquake gimmick is boring, and missing it is frustrating, and the water's physics are the weirdest I've seen in a while, and they are weird in a bad way: Controlling the kid in the water is extremely annoying. Lovetrap's stage has many tedious screens, with repetitive jumps and stuff like that (The underground screen is probably the worst on that matter). The next world is Dark Souls' World, which is way too short, although some concepts are interesting. The stage doesn't look nearly as good as the other stages, and while some references were actually good, the gameplay was quite tedious for the most part. Finally, we have Final Fantasy IX. My main issue with this stage is right at the beginning: One of the most boring 'avoidances' I've ever seen (Long delay before it begins, almost no interval time between the attacks, lenghty for no reason and the attacks themselves are quite meh). Other than that, liked the traps and the other kids unlocking paths for you. I never played Final Fantasy, so I can't say much about the references.
Another big complaint I have about the game regards the game as a whole. Most stages are good by themselves, but when you put them together in a game, they just don't really work. Minecraft's boss is too hard to be a first boss, as I already mentioned, Final Fantasy's World doesn't have anything that really makes it seem like the last stage of the game. Most traps in the game are good, but after a while it gets really repetitive. Other than Minecraft's traps (Trolls in the best possible places, many being really surprising and funny) and Pokemon's traps (Always as weird as it's possible to be, far more surprising than average traps), the traps are pretty much the same: Surprising and stuff, sure, but...There's just nothing new about them.
I don't have too much to say about the boss. It's alright, I guess?
Overall, it's a game with lots of great concepts, including the game's concept itself, but I feel like it could be so much better if the makers were to look the game as a whole, instead of looking at the stages individually. Would still recommend. If anything, the first stage is really amazing.

I have mixed opinions about this game.
It starts off with an impressive production value, which will, by the way, never worsen. The game is located in the same area where I Wanna Be the Guy takes place, but everything is in white and black, creating a bland atmosphere that gives a feeling of nostalgia. This area is the hub that will lead you to the different paintings that, similar to Super Mario 64, work as warps that can send you to different locations.

The first place you'll visit is the Minecraft world. It's pretty easy and offers a good variety of traps along with an in-game inventory gimmick. This stage is very short, and I don't have much to say about it. The boss was also alright, and having to use the mouse while avoiding is a great challenge.

After this stage, you get warped back to the Guy section, on your way to the next world, which is a Mario Kart area. This stage is way more interesting than the previous one and has plenty of unique ideas, with different items coming from the item boxes with their own effects and ways to avoid them. While I really like this world, I found the timer to be too tight, as it could have benefited from a longer time limit.

Afterwards, you'll face the Super Mario 64 World. This stage is definitely at the peak of the game's production value and incorporates a triple jump gimmick that goes surprisingly well with the fangame's physics engine. It is composed of two areas, a plain one and a water one, and they both were very enjoyable. The world has two bosses that use the triple jump gimmick in an interesting way, although they both had pretty similar designs.

The next stage is the Pokemon world. A trap-heavy area that is overall quite fun. My main complaint would be the bosses, which require you to take huge risks in order to damage them, with really punitive attacks. You can play them safe, but it will take you a lot of time if you do so.

After an I Wanna Be the Guy Shoot 'em Up segment that is really fun to go through, we just reached the midway point of the game, but the game's quality unfortunately drops from this point. The world you will get sent to is a Fangames world, featuring different screens from old classics, with modifications put into them. This is the worst area in the game. The reason for that is a world full of bland traps without any taste, with every gimmick integrated into the stages in the worst way possible, the Gameboy area being the most annoying one of them all. The area took screens that aren't enjoyable at all, such as the weird water physics screen from Fangame, or the famous GB screen, but with traps and unfair enemies that should not exist. My only compliment is that the final boss is a fun meme, and the only thing that's worth it in this world.

After this honestly horrendous stage, you will be rewarded with an actually quite fun Dark Souls stage, with a speed gimmick that complements the insane length of the saves. What I, however, didn't like a lot about this world is the complexity of the saves and the abundance of enemies. While it's a really good stage, it's also the hardest in my opinion and could cause troubles for less experienced players.

The final world is a Final Fantasy IX tribute. As a final stage, it is sadly quite anticlimactic. Indeed, this is the most forgettable area of the game, with few to none gimmicks and repetitive screens. You are welcomed with a fun minigame boss, but afterwards, the stage becomes boring and uncreative. It's also one of the rare worlds that don't have a final boss, so it ends pretty abruptly without much context.

At the end of this long adventure, you'll get to the top of the Guy tower and meet the final challenge, which is the Guy in person. It's an amazing boss and a great conclusion for such a long game, that, while having its ups and downs, is still an incredible fangame I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I think considering the relatively recent negative reviews, this game is pretty underrated at this point, it features stages based on a variety of video games interpreted in an IWBTG style, and it's tied in under the idea that kamek is "cursing" the world of IWBTG, and you need to clear these video game areas to restore the world, it's a super cool concept and makes the game feel that much more cohesive and united. The stages themselves are good as well, each having unique mechanics which help them feel distinct, many of which change how you interact with the world. The strongest of these in my opinion is the Super Mario 64 area. The only low point for me was the Fangame Medley area, not only was it super long but it had waaay too many traps in my opinion, which made it less enjoyable than the others. Besides that, this game is great!

A pretty long fangame that has the player going into various worlds themed on other video games, each of which has their own gimmicks. Mario Kart, Dark Souls, Fangame World, Mario 64, and others. Just an overall really well made game from top to bottom and a final boss fight that is pretty epic.
