(This review is baased off of my experience with Medium mode, as that is the difficulty that I first completed the game on.)
Ah, the first guy game I ever played. It was late 2013 I believe.
I had just downloaded this game, I already knew where the traps were from seeing countless playthroughs of the game on YouTube, deciding I was ready to take on the challenge once and for all.
It took me until March 2016 to finally be able to beat the game, and damn, did it feel good.
Some of the bosses aren't that fun (Mother Brain took me over a year, longer than anything else in the game) and some are straight inspiring. (I could grind Dracula for hours and not get salty, and The Guy was satisfying AF.)
The traps are creative and can catch you off guard, the platforming is creative, and generally the game is just entertaining altogether, at least for me. Then again, that might be either the nostalgia talking or the fact that I was 10 years old when I first played this (I'm 13 now).
New players ought to give it a shot, but don't wait until having beaten the game to move onto your next fangame, otherwise you'll never move on and probably become compelled to quit (or just get impatient like I did). I started playing Boshy while I was still stuck on Dracula, which was in early 2014 I think. I still haven't completed Boshy. FeelsBadMan

this is the game that started it all and that's already a big plus for it. the game itself has a lot of flaws that are very frustrating at times. well and that is what fangames used to be about - frustrate the hell out of the players. overall this game still felt nice to play just to see where everything began.
nowadays this game obviously falls behind the newer ones in fact of visuals/leveldesign and pretty much everything you can think of. overall still a fun game in my opinion just because of the huge nostalgic feeling you get from playing it

This was the very first fangame i ever played, i was around 11 years old i think. Now in college and after playing multiple fangames over the years i went back and gave this a play-through not too long ago.

Traits
This has a bit of everything youll see in fangames now a days.
1. Trap-galore. there are numerous traps that are somewhat clever, some made me laugh like the falling moon or the sinking clouds. Not too many random falling obstacles.
2. Needle. if you want to consider the rooms like in the factory with the slow moving platforms or rooms like the secret item room in Kirby area.
3. Adventure-esque. you can backtrack and youll need to, there are 6 bosses to kill in any order you want until you reach the final area.
Gameplay
This fangame is fun to play, youre always on your toes for traps and the platforming is merciful, the bosses are a mix. There is usually never a moment when your stuck on a save for more than an hour or two. Be wary of the engine though, its much different from other fangames and it has a fetish of crashing.

I Used to think this fangame was perfectly average, and it still kinda is. the designs were good for its time but now we have better, the bosses are mediocre but the traps bring the rating up. The good outshines the bad but the bad is clearly visible. Its a fangame that shouldn't really be seen as a fangame, but instead a novelty. This is what started it all, only play it if you want to know how it started, dont play it if you want to play a good fangame.

My first I wanna and I'm glad it's this one.
IWBTG is the first I wanna and it's still for me a classic. People are really too hard with it and despite some evident flaws, I really love it so thank you Kayin for being the starter of all this shit, you changed my life forever.

I remember when I was in highschool, sitting there in the computer class just playing this game nonstop with a friend of mine. We challenged each other to see who would complete it first. Needless to say, I managed to make it all the way and ended up replaying it again some time later. I can not say that it was the perfect or most fun experience, but it definitely got me kick started in loving games like this.
