Castle is one of those old school fangames, and it might be the underwhelming one among them.
I can say this is a mild version of I wanna be the sadist. Platforming sucks all the way, and you'll struggle to find the way in a pile of tedious traps. For example, in the metal slug area, there was a segment that spike follows you to block the way to the next screen. After poking around about an hour, I thought it was impossible until I found that you can just hold right to avoid that spike. It was one of the most BS moments I could ever found in fangames, considering physics. You might also need to backup savefiles often because inappropriate save will lead you to a delicate situation.
The charm(and maybe the only) of this game is the more I play this game, the more eager I became to see the ending. But after all, I couldn't see what's waiting at the end of this misery. After a few Metal Slug screens, you get to the long chase. At the end of the chase, where your teammate Macro dies, you'll find a platform that leads you to go upward and of course, the ceiling kills you. So this game is unfinished but I'll consider it as a clear since Jksnxia said it was the final screen(funny enough, it was the first screen he made in this game).
Overall this game is pretty bad; save placement is garbage, traps are dumb and the only boss in this game was not fun. Recommended to someone who wants to play early 2010s fangames.
