You can build momentum on ice using A-D align, and it makes a handful of segments easier. It's incredible.
The game otherwise is completely unmemorable needle and trap platforming so it's not really worth trying just to experience momentum.

Neos area is a normal needle with some traps.
Brassen area is a corridor needle, nothing good.
A final stage is a single screen needle with regular jumps.
