Compared to some other games in this series, I think this one is relatively weak, lots of jumps I found uncomfortable or unnecessarily precise, especially in the final 10 floors. The bits before that weren't my favorite either. Nothing downright bad exists in this game but I just think it's weak in some places.

Unfortunately, I think this winds up being one of the weaker neon games. Of course, that's a high standard so it's still a decent game. The needle winds up using way too many uncomfortable maneuvers, such as several awful platform under block jumps. The dotkid is used worse than in other entries in the series, but was still a welcome break. I wish it was around for a more sizeable amount of the game. Overall, the needle is pretty good for the most part, but with a high number of bad jumps that drag down way too many saves.

It's fun and it has that neon charm but it shows its age in some spots for sure, not to mention it has a couple of pretty obvious skips. There's definitely some questionable shit towards the end (floor 45's 2nd save is particularly bruh).
