Originally shown during Fangame Marathon's David and Goliath race, Incremental is my first official full-game release! I hope you enjoy it. There are multiple difficulties in this game for beginners and veterans to play!

Current version is 1.15, an updated final version will come out end of 2017. http://iwannacommunity.com/forum/index.php?topic=2475.0

I really hope future games use this one as an example. Everything is custom,, the gameplay feels so unique even for a straight up needle game without any gimmicks, and is MORE impressive considering the entire game is on a 32px grid from start to finish. The production value of incremental is incredible. The music is incredible and I love how it changes when you die (they made all the music on their own is what I read), the graphics are incredible and I can choose which I want to keep so the game looks like how I want it to, gameplay is incredible (and I played on easy medium and hard to see the changes and I still have insane to go) and the death effect where the kid splits in half on the spike is incredible (and so is the sound when you fall off the bottom, was laughing the first time I heard that.) Difficulty rating is based on hard which they say is the recommended difficulty. Will update when I finish insane. This is for version 1.14

Because you can play every main level on any difficulty you want, I would recommend this game to players of any skill level, and I love how if you didn't play a single fan game before, this is a perfect beginner game for you, and you can immediately get better by replaying a level on medium, then hard, all rewarding you for doing it!

The creator gives himself two challenges for the games :
1) Make a 32 pixel needle game (spikes/blocks on a 32 pixel grid, no minispikes).
2) Make a needle game with no gimmicks or common jumps (gates, diamonds, etc.).

This game is well-made with cool musics, and it is one of the rare game which reward you for beating the game on Hard difficulty.
Each world has 5 screens, on each screen, you can choose a different difficulty. The higher difficulty you choose, the more gold you earn, then you can upgrades tileset/background.

I don't want to rate difficulty since i beat it on easy/medium, and this game is meant to be played on Hard Difficulty.

Sheepness
why the fuck is this game favoured just because it's 32 pixel needle? the platforming is so repetitive and the graphics are intentionally bad half the time

Rating based on Hard Mode.

I felt most of the difficulty came from precise full jumps and long drops; a majority of the rest of the game just felt like filler jumps. There were rarely any jumps that I actually felt good to pull off, and I can only remember 1 at all that I particularly liked. Overall the design was very underwhelming and on several occasions made me just want to stop playing. I wouldn't particularly recommend this; I may not be a 32-pixel needle connoisseur, but I can definitely say that this isn't very well-done 32-pixel needle.

As a side note, the upgraded visuals for some areas are super ugly (especially for stage 4 and 5), and the final stage's graphics are very disorienting.

I tried Insane Mode for a few minutes and just wasn't feeling it; of what I played of it I'd only give it a 3/10, and the remainder doesn't look any better. I can't speak on Easy or Medium, however; they might be more pleasant to play through, but I don't care enough to try them out.
