Wow first of all I would like to thank everyone who played this game! I wasn't expecting so much love from you guys <3

Something that I want to clarify is the level design, yes it is a bit lazy and I'm not a huge fan of it either, but some people didn't realize that I did not have the time to make new rooms during the Game Jam since I had less than a weekend worth of time to work with, so I had to rush it a bit. I apologize about that. :)

I've never been a huge fan of gimmicks that mess with screen visibility, but EchoVision has made me believe that such can actually be enjoyable. The mechanic within the game works smoothly and makes for an enjoyable experience. Would prefer though that more screens were featured in the game instead of most of them being a repetition with a change or two.

EchoVision is a really cool game that really can only be called a fangame because of the double jump and spikes. Nonetheless, this is a great game that doesn't overstay its welcome at all and leaves you wanting more.

The core gimmick is that you're a block who creates light waves in order to illuminate the level surrounding you. After a while, the level slips back into darkness, however, at which point you'll have to create another light wave, of which you only have four. This "only having four" bit makes things more problematic, but eventually there will be refill orbs found throughout the level. Speaking of, most of the levels left a bit to be desired as more often than not they were each just upgraded variants of the previous levels. The final level, however, I felt best exemplified the qualities of the game.

I was pretty happy with the experience of EchoVision, and should there be a longer sequel released ever, I'll be first in line to give it a go.

This game is quite cool, but for some reason it just didn't click. I think it had to do with being the cube, for how short this game is gettting used to being a cube took me too long. Still a good game.

why R U not longer???

We all know why. There was time pressure! If this had given total freedom of resources and time, I'm pretty sure I would have another one of my favorites in here. This totally deserves more popularity than any Candy Crush trash or any other generic, boring games available to the public. The concept needs to be expanded and be seen on everybody's smartphones. This is how much I am sure I would have loved it.

The level design is indeed repetitive (on purpose, but again, lack of time), but the concept is so gorgeous, the mechanics work greatly despite having a different engine and the soundtrack is a blast! It is an aural tribute to VVVVVV in many ways and for all the good reasons.

So that's it. I just want it to be longer! :'( Props to the maker, nevertheless!
