I've released an update that nerfs almost every single screen, with the intention of bringing the game closer to the intended difficulty as the game was harder than I originally wanted it to be. Please redownload if you have the old version :)

Rating based on extra clear. I kinda feel that extra is somewhat unnecessary and out of place in this game.

Rating doesn't include extra. Most of it was pretty good. Last stage, although I'm a sucker for mazes, had some really really annoying screen transition stuff that was really not fun. And after the final maze, you have to do this precise section with no killers on it where it is pretty easy to accidentally press r and then you have to play the final save of the maze again :))))))))

I wanna Explore the Mountains is a 4-stage needle game, containing gimmicks such as platforms, vines, and gravity flippers. It also has a few hints of modern needle in the game, such as platform jumps, using water as catharsis water, etc.
Stages 1-3 are completely fine! I had a lot of fun with them, however the game quality dipped rather suddenly at stage 3; some of the jumps were far too annoying for my tastes.
However, stage 4 is where my patience started getting torn. I appreciate the concept, its just the execution is just so god damn awful. For one, some saves had stupid screen transition moments, which just made me even more pissed. Combine that with the fact that it was hard to see where to go at times, and that some of the transitions were done with upside-down needle, and you've got something that i'll dislike heavily. At least make the camera scroll, damn it. That would've fixed so many issues I had with the game.
Recommended, but only clear if you can tolerate stage 4.

Rating includes extra, difficulty doesn't.
Neat game mainly focused on vines, with also jump ref, gravity flippers and a bit of water. Visuals are incredible and the fact that everything is connected gives the game a nice identity instead of just being needle void. The three stages are pretty good and even if it's far from being the most interesting game I have played in term of level design, it manages to be interesting and fun during all the game. The sense of progression and exploration is also really satisfying.
However, I have 2 major complaint that really lowered my enjoyement. The first is the final maze : the game end with a cool maze with interesting pathing and even if the platforming itself is kinda average, it could have been a great finish if only it wasn't for the transitions. I don't know why but the maze doesn't use a smooth cam and it makes some jumps beyond stupid because of the transitions between the screens, and if you combine that with the fact that you can only zoom out to see the whole maze on checkpoints, it makes it more frustrating than fun.
The second is about extra. If the main game is around 70 diff, extra is harder and hits around 75 with 6 individual screens. I don't really have problem with them, except one I didn't really liked they are pretty good, however once you beat them you can access the last save which is a 80 diff 3 screens save, and not a good one. Screen 2 is atrocious, with a bruh diamond in the middle, an annoying jump where you have to jump from the very very top of a vine and a tedious buffed F jump, and screen 3 is full of choke jumps with a very annoying one near the end.
In conclusion, I would easily recommend the main game if you don't dislike vines however I'm not that sure for extra (or at least not the last save)
