Very cool aesthetic. Unique gimmick. Jump as soon as you land to gain extra height, and the ability to wallkick off any wall once. Not too long of a game, but not short enough to be a waste. Very fun avoidance that isn't too learny. Play on Medium for 3 HP, Hard for no HP. Highly recommended!

Its a pretty fun game and overall pretty good. The level design is good and varied with a distinctive style that stands out and the gimmick is reasonably interesting. However I didn't particularly care for the gameplay execution of it. Having to hop (which isn't precise timing, so its just trivial) before jumping half the time wasn't particularly fun to execute, it was just a matter of doing it each time and the visual cues were inconsistent.

Avoidance was solid, had some pretty creative attacks and felt pretty much all fair and balanced.

Personally didn't care for the aesthetic at all - though it did have good production, rainbow gradients and bright colors are criminally overused in fangames in my eyes and it wasn't particularly nice to look at here in my opinion. However that's all subjective and it wasn't gameplay hindering, so I wouldn't hold it against it much.

I'd recommend it if you're looking for something quick with a bit more creativity than the average.

Shiz Nits is a very unique experience, with an eclectic mix off 90's music, creative visuals, and movement gimmicks. The theming is fun, and I love the soundtrack, but having the same visuals the whole time gets a bit old. It changes things up a bit with different killers, like circles and hearts. The screen layout design is the highlight of this game, with diagonal kill blocks, circles, and more. The layouts are super unique, creating needle that looks different from any other fangame I've played. The main movement gimmick is really fun, and my biggest complaint about the game is that this isn't used more. There are a plethora of screens that don't use the main gimmick, instead just making normal precise needle. Additionally, until the final screen there's never any enforced timing, meaning the potentially awesome flowing sections that this gimmick enables non-existent. The final boss is really cool, it's not too hard, with HP I beat it in <5 tries. It has several really unique attacks, and managed to create a really fun experience that isn't difficult or learny. Overall, this game is an easy recommendation since it's so short, and an experienced player can digest this uniquely enjoyable game in under half an hour.

Another legendary production by Derf that feels like the absolute opposite of XIFT, this time making you want to get up and dance to some of the greatest music of the ages. Honestly, this is one of the best gimmick games that I think exists, and I absolutely enjoyed the avoidance at the end, heightened by the fact you are given 3 HP so it isn't too hard to execute.

The gimmick itself is incredibly interesting, I think is something that more people should consider using in their own works. It offers for so many new ways to think about needle design that there wasn't a single jump in this that I've seen in another game. I also thought it was pretty quick to learn, and not that finnicky, which is always a plus side when a lot of fangames have strict learning requirements to theirs.

Highly Recommended, go experience the age of your ancestors!
