The fifth game in the series. Refer to my review for the first game about the overall information of these series.
I will start with remind on what were the .exe creation dates for the first 5 games in these series (time is my local timezone):
1st game: December 8th, 2012, 20:09
2nd game: December 21st, 2012, 17:28
3rd game: December 21st, 2012, 19:11
4th game: December 21st, 2012, 22:43
5th game: December 21st, 2012, 22:59
This is the last game made on December 21st, 2012. But I do find it funny how the difference between 4th and 5th game is literally in 16 minutes.
This game continues the trend from the previous games, and in particular it combines some aspects from the 2nd and 4th game. You have the same thing with audio missing on title screen like in 4th game, and also the tileset is as in the 4th game (which continues the trend from the 2nd game, where there were 2 consecutive games with the same tileset).
The gameplay this time felt easier than other times. The Medium I would rate as 8, since the hardest jump is gate jump and generic diagonal. And the Hard one I would probably rate around 11 (maybe even lower). The buffs are not necessarily very significant, except like 1 gate jump. But those are still buffs, and maybe doing alongside 3 different gate jumps will not be free.
However, I still think that the reverse diagonal from the 1st and 2nd games is harder than any jumps in this game's hard mode. I might be underestimating some jumps, but it really did not feel that hard.
I like the idea on continuing the trend from earlier games, so I will give the same rating as for the 4th game. Still, nothing special.
Would not recommend.
