Pretty cool patterny avoidance, about 3 minutes long. You get 9 hp which lets you try a lot of stuff on every attempt so learning even the tougher patterns isn't too hard.
Visually, it's really good: some screen resizing fun with camera zoom ins and simple visuals used well makes it look awesome for viewers. There's a lot of playing with the kid's position as well so that's fun.
The attacks themselves are pretty varied and mostly interesting, with a focus on pattern. There's generally not much standing around (although it does happen) and the arena changes every now and then to keep things fresh. Some attacks seemed pretty unfair, especially closer to the end, but that might be because I didn't get much time to learn them.
The game seems to have a few issues though: the last 2 attacks seem to not damage the player (the attacks themselves are fully fleshed out so I don't think this is intentional), and you're frozen when you reach the clear screen so you can't save. That being said, I enjoyed my time with this game enough to clear it again to make sure I wasn't crazy the first time I got through those, so hopefully those 2 issues get patched out. Even with them though I had a good time with this. Would recommend.
