R works. You just have to save right above the portal. I guess due to the Surface usage, you cannot see the portal room, but you surely get there.

There are so many bad RNG attacks, I can pick at least 5 attacks that can wall you with stupidly dense RNG. One even rotates the screen while bombarding you with 100 bullets. Attacks like those are definitely not needed, even if it's an HP avoidance. It looks cool, and the patterns are actually fun, but because of the RNG, I just can't recommend it to anyone...

R to restart doesn't seem to work, so you have to restart the game every time, which when coupled with the unskippable 10 second intro makes this something of a chore to play in it's current form.
