12 stage needle game that suffers from the creators seemingly trying to make things hard for the sake of being hard only.
1 star area: pretty easy, there is nothing really speacial about it besides the last drop being kinda bad, otherwise it's alright.
2 star area: Also here the platforming is nothing special, it's not terrible but it's not good; the background with the grid is pretty destracting and ugly though
3 star area: imo kinda fun, terrible visuals however
4 star area: Also kinda fun with again distracting background
5 star area: Filled with uncomfortable jumps with some of them being really precise too which made it more annoying than it shoould have been.
6 star area: Hands down by far the best area in the game, interesting, short saves with weird vine jumps that feel satisfying to pull off and a very atmospheric tileset. If you play anything of this game this is the area to go to.
7 star area: Area is pretty fun but every screen has that one annoying jump that makes 80% of the difficulty, especially the vinejump on the right of the final save
8 star area: Maybe the worst area in the game. 32 pixel needle with precise jumps, 2 saves in particular were incredibly terrible. Maybe if you like this kiind of needle you can find it more fun but I thought it was terrible.
9 star area: Imo the second best area, again here and there an annoying jump but the general platforming is fun
10 star area: This area would be very cool because the pathing wiith the jump refreshers is quite insane and cool. The actual maneuvers though feel terrible. As usual you have the unnecessarily hard jumps in the saves, mostly at the end, and a lot of fulljumps that are precise too, making sure to hurt your hand in the process of playing.
11 star area: The platforming itself was alright but the camera is terrible because it moves with the player in the center so doing the platform mash parts or the water sections was quite unfun.
12 star area: Just made to be hard and uncomfortable - from 90% precise fulljump saves that were already painful after 2 minutes of playing to the final save that's unnecessarily long and even completely unintuitive of what you even need to be doing. Prime example of what's going wrong with this game.
A lot of the difficulty comes off as very forced and made this a very unenjoyable experience which is sad, because I'm sure the makers could do better.

I wish I could've liked this game. The initial yume nikki presentation is really neat, but man does this game get progressively worse the harder it gets.
It starts off tame, with a couple of easier stages. They arent offensively bad but not really great either. The vine (6th?) area is definitely the best part of the game, its very unique and the only area i'd recommend playing. After the vine area it all just goes downhill. Every stage after was very unfun in very different ways. From bad generic needle to awkward jump refresher/vine needle that's full of fulljumps.
Then there's the final stage which was my least favorite part of the game. It has nearly all the annoying needle tropes. too many full jumps, 2 frames, needle that feels tested by just cancelling making the non cancel way obnoxious, off screen jumps and bad save placement are just some of my grievances.
Overall it's just not really worth playing besides maybe the 6th stage.
