It really is badly balanced. The worst thing about this avoidance I'd say is the curving attacks, it just feels like they behave very weirdly. Curving bullets sometimes spawn very near to the player, or just curve too dynamically that I just couldn't figure out how to read it until I got lucky enough to beat the game. The game generally does not feel like a barrage fight at all; in fact, it feels like the exact opposite, that is, it requires very "odd" reading skills, so not recommended if you're looking for those.

every single attack in this avoidance is horribly balanced, and is either free or impossible
the attack concepts seem fun but i can't bring myself to enjoy any of it when i'm getting 95 difficulty situations constantly
