It was a single-medium needle game that beginners could challenge.
It was regrettable that there were frequent bugs that The Kid could get stuck or hang on the edge of the block.
The location of the hidden item was not unfair because it was relatively easy to find and hidden in a predictable place compared to other games.

the game is intended to be played on hard, as it actually allows you to access all the areas in the game. hard doesn't reduce the amount of saves like it usually does, but actually buffs the needle itself (as far as I know)
as for the game itself, it's a mess. the game's filled with skips of various effectiveness - some allowing you to skip entire screens, some allowing you to skip like one difficult jump. this is mostly present in the stage with a custom spike shape, which isn't wide enough to fill an entire block, allowing you to stand on blocks with spikes on them and skip substantial parts of the stage.
it has a wide array of technical issues, having one of the worst engines I've ever seen. dying resizes your screen making it so you essentially have to keep mashing your f4 key every time you die. making the window larger doesn't work, since it just resizes the game back to 800x608. this is insanely annoying for anyone playing in fullscreen. you can stand on the corner pixels of blocks due to poor collision, allowing some minor skips throughout the game. the game lags randomly if the screen has a bunch of objects in it. this is most noticeable in the stage with the vhs vertical scroll effect. the game also has some suspect hitboxes in certain areas. there’s also a ton of miscellaneous general design issues that *could* boil down to personal opinion, so I won’t bash the game too much on something that could be affected by personal bias.
there's some annoying trap stage with Metamorphosis-like traps, except it's not as interesting or difficult as Metamorphosis. it just kinda boils down to repeated fuckery instead of actually creative or interesting traps. I suppose they're well-designed for what they're trying to do, but the problem is that.. what they're trying to do is to be a nuisance. btw even the hub itself looks like Metamorphosis lol.
the gravity area is likely the thing most worth playing in the game, as it's actually interesting the way it's non-euclidean, where you go back and forth but end up in different rooms each time. I find that quite interesting.
there's a few more stages that aren't too interesting. what's notable is that, upon collecting the secret item in each area, you gain access to extra variants of the presented stages. these are required for the full clear, so you'll want to get them. the EX variants are much better and more playable than their regular equivalents. again, gravity stage is really fun and interesting. final stage also has an EX variant with a good mix of interesting stuff in there. the EX half of this game is actually worth playing, despite the slop that comes before it

(Note, this completion was done on hard mode, which is required to unlock the extra stage. If this were just a base requirement completion, which is what I did initially, it would be 40/100 difficulty.) This game has four main stages, a final stage, and an extra stage. The four main stages are unique in their ways, one is standard platforming, one is trap-focused, one is cycle-focused, and one is gravity flipper-focused. Each of these stages has a secret collectible, which you can reasonably spot if you're looking out for how to find them. These secret collectibles unlock a "B-side" to each stage, which is a different but harder version of that stage. Doing these B-sides is required to unlock extra. After simply beating the main version of these stages, you unlock the final stage. IMPORTANT NOTE if you save in the final stage hub area before you can access the final stage, I believe you end up soft locking yourself. The final stage is a medley of each stage's style and gimmick. After this, if you have all the required clears, you can play the extra stage. Before entering this stage, it seems that you can access the second half of extra right off the bat. I'm unsure if this disqualifies you from the game counting that as an "all clear" but if it doesn't then there's no reason to play the first half. I would imagine that the first half would be required though considering I played all of it, I am unsure. The extra stage consists of a screen-tilting visual effect and a mash-up of main stage gimmicks. A few other things to note, the game lagged/HEAVILY slowed down in two spots, the first being in the first quarter of the final stage. This was odd as in my previous two playthroughs, which were both on medium, this section never lagged prior. The second area was in the item room for the extra stage after spawning the item. Something to note here is that the item does not appear immediately, you need to go to the left wall to spawn it. After collecting it the clear screen is through the warp. The second thing to note is that you could get stuck on the edge of a block, which both was a help and a hindrance in some areas. Lastly, the game in some spots (particularly the gravity flipper area) acts like Nekoron water and full jumps when you 1f. Overall, this game was quite well produced. It had some neat uses of the gimmicks and did a good job with the needle design. The visuals are also clean and well-made. The game does get frustrating sometimes, however, especially in the trap sections of the game. This was especially prevalent in the extra stage which was also the hardest stage. Nonetheless, this game is very enjoyable and definitely worth the time to play.

Very good and chill sort of needle game, there are also a few well-made trap stages. I don't have a lot to say about it, it was cool with some charm and was also longer than what I expected. It seems that there are secrets in the game but I didn't go for them so I have no idea what they unlock.
