Wonderful mostly linear adventure game full of interesting mechanics, fun platforming with puzzles and a charming little story. A few of the bosses are a bit on the rough side sometimes but I still found this to be a very satisfying and fun game.

Interesting game, there's one main gimmick holding everything together, the character swap mechanic, and the game uses it quite well. It makes for a very interesting game especially in the platforming department, but unfortunately the game loses this quality in the bosses which tend to be long, tedious, and annoying. They take up a pretty small part of playtime, so it's not a huge deal, but they definitely tank my rating a bit. Some of the saves are great, and there two puzzly areas which aren't my favorite thing in the world, I'm not a big fan of puzzle needle saves, but also the puzzles aren't that hard so it's not a huge deal, and I'm sure others will like them way more than me. Cool game, I like it a lot.

An adventure game with a lot of highs and lows that for me hit a lot of the big targets while missing a lot of the smaller ones. It has a lot of creative ideas, diverse gameplay and a story, which are big things that i'm looking for, but the minor annoyances and sketchy design along the way started grating on the experience after a while.

Production wise, its simplistic but solid. As to be expected from this maker, its not flashy in any way, but has a lot of little details that indicate a lot of care. The story elements, especially being bilingual, are a great touch. Audio is basic, but serviceable. Where it falters here is what I'd call quality of life elements. I did not complete extra because I missed one item, and while it does allow backtracking to try and achieve that, there's no indication of what or where and the ability to move around is extremely limited, so it roughly boils down to replaying the game. Secondly, another huge peeve of mine is that the main gimmick (sort of? its the most notable one that comes in about halfway through the game) feels really tedious to use sometimes, and this is because it takes 3 button presses of different buttons to do something that has no reason to not be done in a single press. That and the fact the inputs feel janky at time really hurts the experience.

The platforming is the highlight for me, with diverse interesting stages - though always with the best design - it atleast keeps your attention, never feels repetitive and introduces a lot of interesting ideas.

The bosses are usually quite simplistic, but their design tends towards the annoying for me. Most of them are designed around the boss being annoying to hit, which isn't really a fun design. Expect all the attacks to be quite easy and simple, but become problematic only because you have to be in specific spots and expend all your resources to be able to damage the boss, meaning that its largely about standing around dodging easy attacks until you can get a clean hit in. While not inherently bad, the fact that every boss felt built around this and it being a design I dislike really brought down the experience for me.

Overall, its got a lot of rough edges but a lot of good ideas - which largely is what you should expect when playing this makers games. I'd recommend it to adventure players who don't mind that combination, and serves as a reasonable entry point if you're curious about the makers catalog which contains a lot of similar 'diamonds in the rough'.

Gimmicks and triggers are relatively creative, there are also some interesting puzzles along the way. Except for some occasional lags, the playing experience is not bad.

However, the boss fight, undoubtedly, is the worst part of the game. This is mainly because of the RNGs. I can say that if it's determined to show no mercy, even the best player will probably run out of solutions. The most typical example is the boss of the Magic Palace which releases hellish bouncing green apples to cut your movement. As for the final boss, although it's far from the hardest boss I'd ever played, it's absolutely the most annoying one. Phase 2 is the biggest problem, the reason is apparent: if you attack aggressively, you are very easy to be killed by the random bullets; but if you don't, this phase could severely consume your stamina and make you unable to deal with the phase 6, which also depends on luck largely. If you're not the creator, adapting to these patterns will take a lot of time. Therefore, I'd given up at it, until I have enough free time or there is really no game to play.

In short, I won't recommend this game to any novice player. But if you are experienced enough, have fun for it!

Great adventure game with a cute story and interesting platforming and puzzles. The only annoying thing is the restarting music, but that's all, very good stuff.
